Who Will Win the D’Angelo Family Final Battle?
WWE

For years, Tony D’Angelo and his family have been a huge part of NXT. Along with Adriana Rizzo, Luca Crusifino, and Stacks, D’Angelo has run the brand as The Don. They’ve had many moments of success and championship victories throughout their time together. But all good things eventually come to an end.

Several months ago, D’Angelo and Stacks butted heads over leadership culminating in Stacks betraying The Don at Stand & Deliver and forcing Rizzo out of hiding. It seemed like Crusifino was D’Angelo’s only remaining friend, however, he turned his back on him weeks earlier, leaving the Don alone. But Crusifino didn’t leave D’Angelo to join up with Stacks, instead extending the same treatment to him and walking out alone. Rizzo announced that the D’Angelo Final Battle, a triple threat match between the three men, was happening on the July 15, 2025 episode of NXT. With so much riding on this, you could make a case as to why all three deserve the victory.

D’Angelo Family Final Battle has Massive Implications

If Tony D’Angelo Wins…He Would Take Back His Title

As The Don of NXT, D’Angelo operated like a mob boss. He saw everything that was going on and monitored everyone for any trouble. Not afraid of getting his hands dirty, he joined the fray and fought some of NXT’s toughest men. Above all else, he pledged loyalty to his family members, and he expected the same treatment back. His reign in NXT extended far beyond any championship titles, with an influence felt all across the brand. However, since losing to Stacks for the Heritage Cup, he lost the title of The Don. He doesn’t have the entourage he had when he needed protection. Any ounce of power he had is now with Stacks and the Heritage Cup. Winning the D’Angelo Final Battle will prove that he is the one and only Don of NXT and that no one will take the title away from him.

If Stacks Wins…He Would Prove He Can Stand on His Own

When D’Angelo formed his family, he had a special role for Stacks. He would be his underboss. His job was to be second in command, the guy that was always there whenever and wherever he was needed. The guy that made sure D’Angelo was always safe with no one attacking him from behind. But after a few years of being that guy, Stacks got tired. He wanted to call his own shots and be his own Don. But D’Angelo didn’t like that. He wanted him to stick with being the underboss and be forever below him. That’s why Stacks attacked the first moment he could and turned his back on D’Angelo and the family. He wanted to make a name for himself, knowing the best way to do so was to disrupt the hierarchy of his family. Another win against D’Angelo would show that he can stand on his own two feet.

If Crusifino Wins…He Would Shock Everyone

For months, the central feud in the Family was between The Don and his underboss. However, a certain legal expert was in the middle until he made his own choice. Crusifino was not only handling the Family’s legal issues, but he was also a capable fighter. He had his own share of victories and achievements in his NXT run so far. Most of the time, he let the others do the work. That’s where he has the advantage. He watched their every move in and out of the ring. In addition, he knows their behaviors, mannerisms, and wrestling styles. Watching footage is an important part of being a professional wrestler. You have to know your opponent while also looking at yourself and correcting what you did wrong. Crusifino knows his opponents better than anyone, which is why a win would show that he learned a lot from the Family.

No Matter who Wins The D’Angelo Family is Forever Changed

It seems like this is the end of the Family as we know it, which may be tough for fans to accept. Each member of the group has had incredible highs and crushing lows broadcast over the years. It’s always tough when a faction meets its end. Even tougher is when they were such a tight knit group. Rizzo sent out a message via X commemorating the group’s run, with fans feeling the same way. All four members made themselves stars, with them being a focal point in NXT for a long time. But each man will be better off with the victory. D’Angelo could regain the Don title and go up to the main roster. Stacks could challenge for even greater championships. Crusifino could get a major singles run. No matter who wins on Tuesday, there will always be the memories of this great faction. And no matter who wins, it seems there won’t be a clean break here with animosities and feuds to continue for some time. After all, does anyone really and truly ever leave the mob life behind?…
