Why Ethan Page Should Be the New Member of WWE’s Secret Hervice

For the past couple of months, Chelsea Green has put together quite an impressive faction. Alongside Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, the Secret Hervice has been working well together and winning big matches. The group was formed when Green became the Women’s United States Champion last year. She was already in a tag team with Niven, but needed some extra protection to keep her title. Fyre joined in March, and the trio has been together ever since. However, it was announced recently that Niven would be out with an injury.

Naturally, Green took to social media and posted “auditions” for a new Secret Hervice member. Just like Maximum Male Models’ “auditions” before Maxxine Dupri joined, this is a clue that someone will be joining the group. Given their career similarities with Green and timing, a familiar face should finally get called up to the main roster.

Ethan Page Has Familiarity with Chelsea Green

Page and Green recently worked together, leading up to and at Heatwave last month. They were victorious over Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele in a mixed tag team match. They had great chemistry together, and they worked with each other to get their win. However, that shouldn’t have been surprising since they have a lot of shared history.

The two were trained and started their careers in Canada. They had successful tenures in Impact Wrestling prior to WWE. Green, as Laurel Van Ness, was Knockouts Champion and Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Deonna Purrazzo. Page was the World Tag Team Champion twice with Josh Alexander.

Finally, their years of experience should work as an advantage when facing less experienced teams, which could lead to impressive wins. Their shared experiences on the independent circuit and in other wrestling promotions should be a sign that they should be paired together.

He Has a Natural Segue to the Main Roster

One roadblock to Page getting called up to the main roster is that he is currently the NXT North American Champion. He beat Ricky Saints back in May to win the title for the second time. Usually, when wrestlers who are champions get called up to the main roster, their last match is them losing the championship. He has a match at No Mercy on Saturday against Tavion Heights. He could lose the title, but not just because of Niven’s injury. Heights has been a bright spot in WWE NXT for years now.

His amateur wrestling background has helped him attain success, and by leaving No Quarter Catch Crew, he has his eyes set on singles glory. He even got some encouragement from Damian Priest last week.

Becoming NXT North American Champion would bring him his first title in NXT, while allowing Page a reason to go to the main roster.

This Move Makes a Lot of Sense for the Group

With Niven being out for the time being, the Secret Hervice is downgraded to a duo. Green and Fyre could certainly make things work together. But Green definitely wants a replacement, as evidenced by her social media post. Page getting called up to be that replacement makes a lot of sense for various reasons. They worked together well at Heatwave, which caused fans online to cheer for this potential move weeks ago. The two have a lot of shared history, which is beneficial to working together as a tag team or faction.

Finally, Page dropping the NXT North American Championship to someone who truly deserves it in Tavion Heights could give him a smooth transition to the main roster. The Secret Hervice is currently down a member, but calling up Page is the right thing to do for both his career and the faction as a whole.
