AEW star Will Ospreay has declared All Elite Wrestling's roster superior to WWE's and given a reason for it while being asked about WWE NXT Battleground potentially running on the same night as AEW's Double or Nothing pay-per-view later this month.

Ospreay stated that AEW "smokes them in every field of wrestling." These bold comments came during a recent interview with YoJoshMartinez.

“We smoke them in every field of wrestling,” Ospreay confidently stated. He then elaborated, “Mate, we’re just better.”

While expressing this strong belief in AEW's overall product, Ospreay did offer respect for individual talents within WWE. "I respect them. I respect every single one of them there,” he continued. “They’re all vets, they all know what they’re doing, they’re great at their job, they understand getting people on their feet, but we are so much more of a better wrestling company than them.”

Ospreay reiterated his stance on the talent depth. “Our guys smoke them every single day of the week. They’ve got good guys like Gunther, they’ve got great guys like Orton, they’ve got good guys like Chad Gable, I respect all of them but on our worst day, we smoke all of you guys.”

Earlier in the interview, "The Aerial Assassin" also discussed potential future opponents, particularly from NJPW. “Strangely, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion right now, Goto, we never wrestled one another,” Ospreay revealed. “Look, Forbidden Door’s coming up, so could be doing that.”

Ospreay detailed Lynn's impact on his development. "...and he’s really been helping me understand and break down a lot of things where I feel like I lacked and needed those fine-tuning pieces. Getting to work with the legend that is Jerry Lynn has been beautiful.”

Up next for Ospreay is tag team action on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break. He is scheduled to team with "Hangman" Adam Page to face Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander.
