Women’s Matches WWE Needs to Add to WrestleMania 42

WWE has already scheduled three women’s matches for ‘Mania 42: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Royal Rumble Winner Liv Morgan for the World Women’s Title, Jade Cargill (c) vs. Elimination Chamber Winner Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Title, and AJ Lee (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the InterContinental Title. WWE is purportedly booking 6 women’s matches in total for WrestleMania 42, which is a record number in ‘Mania history.

Here are three more women’s matches WWE needs to add to the ‘Mania 42 card.

IYO SKY vs. Asuka vs. Kairi Sane – Triple Threat Match

Asuka has been blaming Kairi Sane for all the misfortunes in the Kabuki Warriors, even though Sane has been trying her best to help the team. She blamed her for losing the tag titles, the Rumble, and all other matches in between.

Many fans have called this relationship abusive, and IYO SKY is trying her best to save Kairi Sane from Asuka’s wrath. This story stems from their time in Damage CTRL, and Asuka is still salty that Sky left them to team with Rhea Ripley. SKY needs to win to put Asuka in her place and save Sane.

Prediction: IYO SKY

Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Chelsea Green – Women’s United States Title Match

Assuming Tiffany Stratton dethrones Giulia on the March 27, 2026, episode of SmackDown, Stratton should defend her title against the returning Chelsea Green. Green has an ankle injury, but she has been on commentary for all of Stratton’s matches in a wheelchair.

She promised the WWE Universe that she would be back for Mania, and she still has not been granted her “re-rematch” for the U.S. Title after losing the title back to Giulia. Stratton defeating the most prestigious U.S. Champ would be a worthwhile Mania Moment.

Prediction: Tiffany Stratton

Bayley & Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend vs. The Bella Twins vs. Giulia & Kiana James vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss – WWE Women’s Tag Titles Match

While Stratton and Green reignite their rivalry from WWE MITB 2024, Giulia will be relegated to the tag division with Kiana James after losing the U.S. Title. The tag titles are being defended in a multi-tag match.

Under the presumption that Bayley and Lyra Valkyria dethrone the Irresistible Forces on the March 30, 2026, episode of Raw, they will likely drop the titles to the Bella Twins, who eliminated them in the Rumble this year. Bella Twins are not necessarily needed in today’s tag division, but they do appeal to the casual fan base at Mania.
