Without further ado, here are my Night 2 predictions for WrestleMania 42, scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
The highly anticipated match on Sunday is set to kick off the show with a bang. Rising star Oba Femi takes on the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. This is a dream match for many fans. Both are decorated collegiate athletes, built like tanks, and possess undeniable strength and athleticism. Lesnar enters as the proven conqueror, while Oba Femi is the rising powerhouse who refuses to be intimidated. It’s a true clash of unstoppable forces. With UFC fighters and ESPN personnel already showcasing Oba’s signature walk, WWE would be remiss not to put the young star over and prove that Brock can still work with the next generation of talent.
Winner: Oba FemiSix-Pack Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio
This six-person ladder match is guaranteed to be full of high spots and jaw-dropping moments. From the opening bell, expect high-flying insanity and brutal ladder spots. Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio — the seasoned luchador veterans — will set the tone early with rapid exchanges and dives to the outside. Je’Von Evans is poised for his WrestleMania breakout moment with his signature bounciness, while JD McDonagh plays the opportunistic sneak, and Rusev brings the raw power.
Winner: Penta retains
WWE United States Championship Match Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams
It’s great to see the United States Championship defended at WrestleMania once again. Sami Zayn remains a consistent and reliable force in the mid-card, while Trick Williams is a rising main roster talent with a very promising future straight out of NXT. Expect Trick to shine brightly in his WrestleMania debut and capture his first United States Championship.
Winner: Trick Williams – New United States Champion
WWE Women’s Championship Match Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley has cemented herself as one of the best female wrestlers in WWE history. Her power and commanding presence always energize the crowd. This will be a major test for Jade Cargill as champion. Look out for possible interference from Jade’s faction (potentially involving Iyo Sky or a returning Bianca Belair). Given their incredible match last year, a healthy Bianca return could lead to a standout WrestleMania moment for Iyo Sky as well.
Winner: Rhea Ripley – New WWE Women’s Champion
“The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio
Dirty Dom Mysterio has a tough challenge ahead as Finn Bálor brings back his Demon persona for the first time since WrestleMania 39. Demon Bálor is always a massive crowd favorite, and with Finn now on his own, this could be his opportunity to transition back toward the main event scene. Dominik will likely rely on his signature dirty tactics to try and steal another win at WrestleMania.
Winner: Finn Bálor
World Heavyweight Championship Match (Main Event) CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns
This is the match that has fans buzzing and conflicted. On one side, you have CM Punk, considered the best in the world from a purist perspective. On the other, Roman Reigns — the man WWE trusts as its top guy and one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the company. These two last faced each other one-on-one back in 2014, when Roman was still a rookie. Now, after years of dominance, Roman has cemented himself as a proven draw. The promo battles leading into this bout have been outstanding. Expect a 30–45 minute classic to close out Night 2.
Tune in to WrestleMania Night 2 on Sunday, April 19, 2026, on the ESPN app, with the first hour being broadcast live on the ESPN channel.
