Wrestling star Saraya, also known as Paige (throughout her time with WWE), formally announced her departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in a trailer for her new podcast “Rulebreakers with Saraya.”

The 32-year-old from Norwich, United Kingdom, signed to AEW in 2022 which sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling industry after years of inactivity due to a neck injury caused during a match while with the WWE. Saraya spent six years (2011-2017) with WWE before retiring after suffering a neck injury during a house show. Although she was told that she would never wrestle again, Saraya worked hard for five years to get cleared so she could resume her career as a wrestler. After a mediocre run with AEW, Saraya has officially departed AEW.

“I’m here to tell you that me and AEW’s relationship has come to an end,” Saraya said. “I had an amazing time there. There’s no bad blood between us. I had such a magical time.” While fans will be quick to point the finger at the low-hanging fruit of AEW owner Tony Khan, Saraya was quick to quiet any rumors that could come out of her departure.

“I loved my fu**ing time there,” she said. “Tony’s fu**ing awesome. And anyone that goes to work there will just enjoy their time. It’s just great. And I’ll miss the girls’ locker room.”

What will this mean for Saraya’s future? There is no telling where she will end up, but plenty of suitors will be lined up to offer her a deal for her services. Saraya did not rule out a return to the WWE, and with WrestleMania quickly approaching, she could be someone who is injected into a major storyline. For now, Saraya will focus on her podcast until the right situation comes along, which could be sooner than later.
