In a bit of sad news today, we have learned that former WWE Superstar Virgil has passed away and now the wrestling world reacts.
According to a report, he passed away peacefully in the hospital this morning. He was 61 years old.
Though the news is sad, given recent reports, this was not totally a shock.
It is never good news when someone passes.
But, in recent years, the former Million Dollar valet had fallen on some increasingly tough times.
In 2022 he reportedly suffered from two separate strokes, in addition to a dementia diagnosis.
On top of that, he had also been told he had colon cancer. It was a lot of bad news in an incredibly short period of time for him.
RIP Virgil, Mike Jones

There was even a photo shared online of the former WWE Superstar working an autograph table on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, near a certain talent’s Hollywood star.

His passing at a relatively young age marks a sad conclusion to an interesting career.
He debuted in the mid 1980s and was most well known for his work as the Million Dollar Man’s valet, butler or man servant.
But, he was a capable in ring performer in his own right, and enjoyed a brief babyface run feuding against Ted DiBiase.

Over time, we also saw him in WCW where he was once again aligned with the Million Dollar Man. Both spent time as a part of the New World Order.
Though by that point, it was probably easier to point out who wasn’t in the faction.
Looking back, here was when we first met him…
The first time we saw Virgil in the WWF, as the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase's bodyguard
