WWE 2K25 Finally Names Replacement For Missing DLC Celebrity
WWE

Even though there's still someone missing from WWE 2K25's first DLC pack, the rollout of post-launch content has continued with pack number three now right around the corner. Ahead of its arrival, 2K has finally confirmed that the missing celebrity from pack one is officially being replaced; however, it will no longer be a celebrity, and you're going to have to wait a little bit longer until you get them.

El Grande Americano Is Coming To WWE 2K25

The studio confirmed on Twitter that instead of a celebrity, the gap left in the New Wave Pack since May will be filled by El Grande Americano. A rather fitting replacement as the wrestler is as new to WWE, if not newer, than the four other WWE Superstars that were a part of that initial DLC drop. The bad news, however, is that the replacement wrestler won't be ready to enter the virtual fray until September.

El Grande Americano will have a unique entrance, music, and moveset and will not just be a reskinned version of Chad Gable. I mean, why would he be? They're completely different people. If you've bought the New Wave Pack, the Season Pass, or you picked up the Deadman or Bloodline editions of WWE 2K25, then you will get El Grande Americano when he's added to the game this September for no additional cost.

You can still buy the New Wave Pack if you want El Grande Americano and the other wrestlers it includes, or the Season Pass if you want every DLC wrestler released so far and every one still to come.

So, Who Was Supposed To Be In The New Wave Pack?

What 2K hasn't revealed is who was originally supposed to be in that celebrity guest slot. The leading theory is that Travis Scott was meant to be added to the game. The rapper didn't exactly get a warm welcome when he interfered in the WrestleMania 41 main event. While not confirmed, it seems like there were more plans with Scott, but something happened, and those plans have since been scrapped. That might well have included adding him to the game.

It's not an ideal situation with owners of WWE 2K25 paying for what is currently an incomplete DLC, but at least we know the situation is now being rectified. I'd hazard to guess that those who have paid would much prefer getting an actual wrestler as opposed to a celebrity, too, especially if that celebrity was going to be Scott.
