WWE has announced it will stage its first WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event next month. WWE Wrestlepalooza will be headlined by John Cena in Indianapolis on September 20, 2025. It will mark WWE’s first PLE to air live on ESPN in the US. WWE Wrestlepalooza will air on Netflix outside of the US at 7pm ET. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are all slated for major matches at the event.

WWE had revealed it had struck a deal for its PLEs to air on ESPN starting in 2026. The five-year deal is said to be worth $6.5bn. WWE Clash In Paris will be the final PLE to air live on the Peacock service on August 31, 2025.  This will mark WWE’s top content leaving the Peacock streaming service for the first time since March 2021.

Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis

Wrestlepalooza will see WWE return to Indianapolis for the first time since it set a new attendance record for its Royal Rumble show at the Lucas Oil Stadium in February. There’s no chance of WWE breaking any records during its maiden voyage on ESPN. The Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis – which will stage Wrestlepalooza – only has a capacity of 18,000. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said: “On September 20, WWE and ESPN are coming together for a can’t-miss event to kick off our new partnership. “The biggest Superstars in WWE. The biggest brand in sports media. Are you ready?” Meanwhile, Stephanie’s Places has aired on ESPN since March this year. The show sees Stephanie McMahon visit parts of the US with WWE Superstars to discuss their importance in their lives and careers.

ECW Wrestlepalooza

ECW Wrestlepalooza was PPV series that ran between 1995 and 2000. The Wrestlepalooza PPVs run by ECW featured classic matches from iconic rivalries between Sabu and Rob Van Dam, and Tommy Dreamer and Raven. Dreamer finally defeated his arch rival Raven at ECW Wrestlepalooza in 1997 in one of the most memorable moments in ECW history. This match was recognised by WWE as one of the top matches from ECW.
