WWE Clash In Paris Predictions

WWE has made its way to France yet again for WWE Clash in Paris.. After the success of Backlash, it was only a matter of time before they returned. The fans have proven to be a fantastic audience, and there shouldn’t be much doubt that they will return to form on Sunday.

Creative has assembled a great card that should provide for an ample number of fireworks. Two championship matches could surprise us, while the undercard features a lineup of great matchups. More importantly, though, is how each of these matches is going to pan out. Creative direction hinges on what will happen in Paris. It will be a historic night and one we will try to predict below.

John Cena vs Logan Paul

The next stop on John Cena’s retirement tour runs through Logan Paul. The social media star has made it known he wants to ruin the last time. It has been a compact program, but one that has included some great moments in the ring. Cena has been at his usual best, while Logan Paul has maintained some vicious heat. They have made us want to see this match, even though the outcome isn’t in much doubt.

John Cena has jobbed during his last run, but this isn’t going to be the match where it happens. Logan Paul is a high-profile opponent, but one whose character won’t be tarnished by a loss. John Cena needs to compile some wins before he heads into larger matches.

Winner: John Cena

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Wyatt Sicks vs The Street Profits

The tag team division, on SmackDown, was once a highlight of the show. Yes, each team is still more than capable of putting on compelling matches, but there hasn’t been much in the way of storylines going on here. At SummerSlam, we saw a great multi-team match, but one that ultimately led to an uninspiring victory for The Wyatt Sicks. It looks like we are headed for more of the same in Paris.

The Street Profits are worthy contenders for the straps and will make sure to give the Wyatt Sicks everything they can handle. However, is there any chance that they are going to win? WWE wants to protect the Wyatts at all costs, and the Profits will be the next to fall. This match will be fun, but its finish will not surprise anyone.

Winners: The Wyatt Sicks

Sheamus vs Rusev (Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match)

Rusev went through some lesser opponents after his return, but this program with Sheamus has given him something to sink his teeth into. Sheamus is an excellent matchup for Rusev, as both utilize a physical style of working. So far, they have proven able to put on great matches and add some fun pull-apart brawls as well. They have become one of the better parts of Monday Night Raw.

Adding a stipulation to the match is the next logical step, making this match a violent trip through Paris. It’s hard to imagine that either man is going to relent in their pursuit of victory, but argument’s sake, it looks like Rusev’s fight to lose. He is starting to gain momentum, and a clean win here would push him forward, perhaps towards a title match. Winner: Rusev

Roman Reigns vs Bronson Reed

The battle of the sneakers has been brewing for a while now. Since Reed joined forces with Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker, this was the dream program. Both are powerful wrestlers, and it has been fun to see Bronson Reed get the rub of working with Roman Reigns.

So far, Paul Heyman has done more of the heavy lifting vocally, but Reed has worked his part well. He is an imposing presence next to Reigns, and that’s not something many can say.

It would be amazing to see Bronson Reed get a clean victory here. Beating Roman Reigns would give him street cred from the audience, but it won’t be going down that road. Roman Reigns has been staring up at the lights a few times this year, and WWE doesn’t want to diminish him. Roman Reigns is still a huge draw and needs to walk away victorious here.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella

The feud between Lynch and Bella has been one that is built outside of the squared circle. There hasn’t been much physicality, but they have made up for that with fantastic promos. No issue is left untouched when these two get their hands on a microphone.

It has almost gotten downright uncomfortable, and that says a lot about their talent. We really want to see how these two will match up after so much negativity has been thrown their way.

It’s hard to think that Becky Lynch isn’t going to be retaining here. She has been a fantastic mid-card heel and has worked hard to bring the limelight to the Intercontinental Championship. However, as unpopular as this opinion is, it’s time to put a title around Nikki Bella’s waist.

WWE needs to give her a big win and cash in on her popularity. It provides the show with a massive title change, plus Becky Lynch can get a win back at the next PLE.

Winner: Nikki Bella

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins vs CM Punk vs Jey Uso vs LA Knight

The issues between these four men have been worthy of the World Championship scene on Raw. Rollins and Punk have their obvious problems, but WWE has done a great job of interweaving Jey Uso and LA Knight into the mix.

Even adding the angle of a Jey Uso superkick on Punk has been an interesting development. Could we be seeing a heel turn from the creator of Yeet? There are a lot of intriguing angles that will be explored on Sunday.

This will be the usual chaotic affair that we are used to from Fatal Four-Way Matches. It should provide for an entertaining main event, but one that shouldn’t have much of a surprise with its winner. Seth Rollins isn’t going to lose his World Championship, at least not yet.

The writing is on the wall for CM Punk to eventually get his, and in a multi-man match isn’t where the money is. Smart guess would be that Seth Rollins leans on his compatriots to walk out of Paris with the World Heavyweight Championship

Winner: Seth Rollins
