Becky Lynch remains one of WWE’s top stars and is currently the Women’s Intercontinental Champion on Raw. With the all-women’s PLE, Evolution 2, fast approaching, it’s almost certain that ‘The Man’ will be a major part of the show. Recently, Lynch has been entangled in a deeply personal rivalry involving Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. Given the intense three-way dynamic, WWE has officially announced a Triple Threat Match between the three at Evolution.

Taking to X, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that ‘Big Time Becks’ will put her Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line against ‘The Role Model’ and ‘The Bird Lady’ at Evolution 2 this weekend. While many fans are demanding that this bout be featured as the main event of the show, WWE has yet to make an official confirmation on it.

As of now, the company has announced seven matches for Evolution 2. The card includes five title defenses across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, a high-profile singles clash between Jade Cargill and Naomi, and a battle royal. However, considering the star power of Becky Lynch and the compelling storytelling of her recent feud with Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, this match has the potential to close out the show.

Moreover, the former WWE Women’s Champion has been doing an incredible job as a heel on Raw. Meanwhile, the promotion has done an immaculate job of brewing tensions between Valkyria and Bayley with their match this past week. Therefore, it makes sense to book the three top names of the women’s division in a Triple Threat Match for the Women’s Intercontinental Title.

Bayley shared some throwback pictures with Becky Lynch ahead of Evolution

Bayley and Becky Lynch are two of the most experienced talents on the current WWE roster. Their history goes way back to their days on NXT, where they used to be known as ‘The Four Horsewomen’ alongside Charlotte Flair and Mercedes Mone (then known as Sasha Banks). Recently, ‘The Role Model’ shared a few pictures with ‘The Man’ to showcase their rich history together.

Taking to X, the former Women’s Champion shared two captionless photos. The first was from WrestleMania 38, showing Bayley hugging Becky Lynch backstage after her match with Bianca Belair . The second was from WrestleMania 35, capturing a moment from Lynch’s historic main event win against Charlotte Flair and  Ronda Rousey . The second picture also featured Mone hugging her fellow Horsewomen.

Perhaps it was a subtle reminder from ‘The Role Model’ that she’s been a loyal friend to Becky Lynch for over a decade. However, throughout their current feud, ‘Big Time Becks’ has made it clear she doesn’t trust Bayley, citing her long history of betrayals. It will be interesting to see how things unfold between the two former Women’s Champions as the rivalry intensifies.

Will Becky Lynch lose her Women’s Intercontinental title at Evolution?

Becky Lynch won the Women’s Intercontinental Championship by defeating Lyra Valkyria at Money in the Bank last month. Since then, she has defended the title once, scoring a victory over Bayley on Raw. However, with WWE now announcing a Triple Threat Match for Lynch at Evolution, fans are beginning to speculate whether ‘The Man’ could lose her title in this high-stakes encounter.

WWE is looking to generate major headlines from the Evolution 2 premium live event, and Lynch dropping her title could be one of the biggest shocks of the night. Moreover, in a Triple Threat match, ‘Big Time Becks’ doesn’t even need to be pinned to lose her championship—adding another layer of suspense to the outcome.

However, it seems unlikely that the 38-year-old will drop her title so soon. With WWE gearing up for its first-ever two-night SummerSlam event, the company will need top stars to anchor the show. Having Lynch enter the event as champion would add significant star power and elevate the overall spectacle.
