Roman Reigns has teased targeting either Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship or CM Punk's World Heavyweight Championship despite teaming with the pair this Saturday at Survivor Series WarGames. The OTC put the duo on notice on RAW when he told them, "That title would look better on my shoulder."
Rhodes and Punk tried working out which of them Reigns meant as the former Undisputed WWE Champion headed backstage. Fans are also trying to come to a conclusion over who makes the most sense for the Head of the Table to target, and that includes WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray.
Reigns has a storied history with Rhodes, having main-evented WrestleMania 39 and 40 against The American Nightmare. He successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship the first time around before his iconic 1,316-day reign ended a year later at the Show of Shows.
But the OTC has been embroiled in a tense relationship with Punk this year which included a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. Both are only teaming this Saturday because they hate Paul Heyman and The Vision more than they do one another.
Ray believes Punk might be the man that Reigns goes after because his personal vendetta outweighs his lust to reclaim Rhodes' title. The WWE Hall of Famer delved into how the story should be told while speaking on Busted Open Radio:
"Roman has to address that Cody's championship is a bigger championship because he, Roman Reigns, held it, thus making it the Universal Undisputed Championship and I acknowledge that that's the belt above all belts. But, I don't like you CM Punk and I want to take your WWE World Heavyweight Championship from you."
Bully feels if Reigns goes down this route it will benefit the titles and Rhodes:
"You've got to tell me why one belt means more and you can take the credit it for it meaning more because you made it the Universal and Undisputed Championship. So you're putting the belt over, you're putting Cody over but then you're giving the personal reason why you want to go after Punk."

Reigns has only faced Punk once in singles competition and that came on WWE RAW way back in January 2014. There is a story to be told between the duo because the OTC became the biggest star in pro wrestling during the time The Best in the World was absent from the business due to growing disillusioned with his treatment in the company.
Times have changed and Punk fulfilled his dream of main eventing WrestleMania earlier this year alongside Reigns and Seth Rollins. The Visionary prevailed thanks to Heyman who turned on both his Tribal Chief and his former best friend.
Reigns may well have been challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 next year before Punk won the title at Saturday Night's Main Event earlier this month. He was headed towards the revival of a rivalry with former champion Rollins who was forced to vacate the gold due to shoulder surgery last month.
The reported early plans were for Reigns to meet Rollins for the title at Mania, but those plans were of course, scuppered by his shoulder injury. Turning to Punk as his opponent is the best and easiest solution and a feud that will still get fans invested, especially because both aren't exactly innocent babyfaces.
A match at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada has the ingredients of a classic especially if a big angle is booked. A heel turn at the Show of Shows always makes for a history-making moment and that could be through either Reigns reverting to his old dirty Bloodline ways or Punk re-aligning with Heyman to remain on top on WWE RAW.
