The trio of WWE programs for the week of Christmas are all now in the can. NXT is following suit with both Raw and SmackDown in recording its episode that's set to air on Christmas Eve. The show was filmed after the live broadcast last night (12/17) in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The push to New Year's Evil continues with major questions surrounding the NXT Championship picture following the double pin finish between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe Tuesday night.

'A Little Disappointed': Logan Paul Didn't Hold Back on His Opinion of John Cena
Professional wrestler and influencer Logan Paul has fired shots at John Cena just days before they go against each other as part of WWE's Clash in Paris on Aug. 31. Paul did so by discussing Cena's character shifts, as the soon-to-retire WWE legend has shifted from face to heel to face again in a span of a few months, prompting Paul to claim Cena's late-career run has been undermined by a perceived indecision. On Tuesday's episode of the "IMPAULSIVE" podcast, Paul said he was “a little disappointed” in Cena’s return to being a babyface, just months after turning heel for the first time in over 20 years. “I saw the heel turn, and I was like, ‘Alright, welcome to the bright side. You can just be yourself and people will accept you for that,’” Paul said. “But then the switch up back to trying to be a babyface makes me feel like he’s seeking outside validation, and he’s being guided by the audience instead of himself. “It feels like to me, we’re watching a midlife crisis happen live.” Logan Paul Wants John Cena to “Pick A Lane” Paul, who will face Cena in Paris at the end of the month, suggested the 16-time world champion should commit to one direction and stop letting external factors dictate his choices. “I just think you should’ve picked a lane and stayed in it,” Paul said. “Who are you? Do you even know? Are you doing it because the final boss says it or (WWE Chief Content Officer) Triple H says it? Are you being puppeteered by the powers that be? “Why don’t you just be yourself and be The GOAT John Cena? I saw that fade a little bit and I have to say, I’m not into it.” Logan Paul Sees “Real” John Cena Behind The Scenes Paul didn't only criticize Cena, but also reserved some positive comments about the veteran wrestler, handing him a piece of advice. Paul said that during their brief time as WWE tag partners, he saw a side of Cena that fans rarely witness and wishes the veteran would showcase that authenticity. “I think he needs to stop trying to please the crowd for personal validation,” Paul said. “Be yourself. That’s the version of John Cena people respect most.”
Vikings WR gets brutal injury news for second straight season
A Minnesota Vikings wide receiver's season is already over. The Minnesota Vikings announced on Tuesday that wide receiver Rondale Moore is being placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a leg injury that he suffered in the team's first preseason game against the Houston Texans this past weekend. It is a devastating blow for Moore who is now being sidelined for an entire season, before it even begins, for the second year in a row. Moore signed a one-year, $2 million contract in free agency with the Vikings this offseason in the hopes he could return from a different injury that cost him the entirety of the 2024 season. Moore was a member of the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 after being acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for backup quarterback Desmond Ridder. This is now two different teams that Moore has been a part of but will never play a game for them due to injuries. Moore was injured while returning a punt. He began his career with the Arizona Cardinals, catching 135 passes for 1,201 yards over three seasons before being traded. He was never going to be counted on to be a key contributor for the Vikings offense this season, especially given the superstars they already have at wide receiver in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but he still had a chance to be an interesting depth player. Now it is fair to wonder what the rest of his career might even look like. Missing two full seasons due to two different leg injuries is going to be a brutal thing to try to come back from. Missing two seasons for any reason is difficult, but when you add the leg injuries to the equation, it makes the obstacle even steeper.
Bryson DeChambeau divulges Scottie Scheffler's biggest advantage
We all know Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer on the planet by a fairly large margin, but what makes him so much more consistent than other stars in professional golf? Bryson DeChambeau, one of Scheffler's biggest rivals in major championships, thinks he knows the answer. In Tuesday's appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," DeChambeau detailed how Scheffler dominates the PGA Tour weekly. "He's got the best spin and distance control I've ever seen," DeChambeau said. "He controls the golf ball from a spin perspective so much better than everybody else. Like, if you're 175 yards out, and it's 10 miles [an hour] into the wind, he knows how to control the flight and spin to get that ball to land right next to the hole every time. Probably since Tiger [Woods], he's the best that we've seen." The stats confirm DeChambeau's breakdown. Scheffler has ranked first on the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach in three straight seasons. He also ranks first in proximity to the hole and greens in regulation percentage over the last four years. Iron play is Scheffler's superpower, but it wasn't always that way. "I played with him in college a bunch, and I've said it before, but he's definitely improved since college for sure," DeChambeau said with a chuckle. "It's impressive to see what he's done, and we're all aspiring to do that. That's something I've gotta get better at. I can hit it farther than him. I can hit it probably straighter than him. I can make just as many putts as him, but, really, it's about my iron play right now and wedges to get a little more consistent." Iron play is the biggest indicator of success in professional golf. If you're giving yourself more birdie chances from close range than anyone in the field, you're going to have the best chance to win by Sunday afternoon. No one is better at hitting specific distances more consistently than Scheffler. Just look at how accurate he is. DeChambeau has the best chance to catch Scheffler as the best player in the world because he's elite off the tee and on the greens, but that won't happen unless he makes a major improvement to his iron game.

Mike Vrabel raises eyebrows with cryptic comment on Stefon Diggs
New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel raised some questions Monday with his cryptic comment about wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Diggs did not play in Friday’s preseason opener against the Washington Commanders, but the move did not attract much attention. Diggs is still coming back from a torn ACL, and the presumption was that the Patriots were not yet ready to risk the wide receiver in game action. Vrabel, however, opened the door to more speculation when asked about Diggs’ absence Monday on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show.” “Coach’s decision,” Vrabel said, via Karen Guregian of MassLive. Diggs appeared to be on shaky footing with the Patriots in May, when he was filmed flashing a pink substance on a party boat. Vrabel indicated he was not thrilled with Diggs after that, but those negative feelings seemed to have faded within a few weeks. Diggs was a full participant in Monday’s practice, so there does not appear to be a new injury in play. Realistically, this is probably nothing, but considering the earlier controversy with Diggs, Vrabel’s answer will raise some eyebrows. The Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $63.5 million contract in March, hoping he would provide a veteran weapon for QB Drake Maye.
