WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 Predictions

For 38 years, the PLE Survivor Series has been coming into our homes. The show has become a Thanksgiving tradition for World Wrestling Entertainment, and this year it follows in the vein of WWE’s other major PLE by moving to a much larger venue. Bringing the Survivor Series to Petco Park in San Diego is a huge move for the company, and one that needs some fireworks to make it a successful venture.

For their efforts, WWE has booked four matches with the potential to make this the best Survivor Series yet. There are two giant WarGames matches on tap, followed by two championship matches that will turn some heads.

There is much at stake this Saturday. Each match will affect major parts of WWE programming heading into the Christmas season. Every wrestler needs to have their hand raised in victory, but only a few will have that honour. Let’s debate which ones will be declared victorious at WarGames.

Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs Nikki Bella

The short-lived partnership between Vaquer and Bella broke apart to no one’s surprise. These types of relationships are built to fail, but it should give us an intriguing matchup come Saturday.

Nikki Bella was never known for her wrestling acumen. She was there for her looks more than anything, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t string together a great match when given the proper motivation. An opportunity to become the next World Champion is a great motivator.

Then there is the fact that Stephanie Vaquer is one of the most talented women on the roster, who is a great match machine. The pairing has had some fun build heading into Saturday and might surprise some people.

Nikki Bella is still a big name, but the time for her to lead the division has come and gone. She will be a great notch on the belt of Vaquer, but she will not win this match. La Primera has just started her path to greatness, and Bella will not be the one to stop that.

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer

Intercontinental Championship Match: John Cena vs Dominik Mysterio

What a sight it was to see John Cena finally complete the career grand slam. Winning the Intercontinental Championship in his hometown produced an Attitude Era pop, so why not run it back at Survivor Series? Dominik Mysterio is the ideal opponent, being the sneaky heel that Cena loves to work against. Fans will be loud throughout this match, and who knows, maybe even give the hometown boy in Mysterio some support.

This will be more of a marathon than a sprint. John Cena isn’t the nimble man that he used to be, but he has no problem putting together a compelling match. Dominik Mysterio will be up to the task of playing the cowardly heel that we all love. This will be reminiscent of the Cena classics of old.

It’s impossible to imagine that with only 2 matches left that John Cena will lose this one. Knowing the performer he is, one can anticipate him putting his opponent over in his final match, but not this one. There is no shame in Dominik Mysterio losing twice to The G.O.A.T. His character won’t be affected, and it could, in fact, leave much room for character growth.

Winner: John Cena

Women’s WarGames Match: Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky, A.J.Lee & Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Asuka, Kairi Sane & Becky Lynch

There are a plethora of positives heading into the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. To start, the Charlotte promos have been engaging and have helped to drive a not-so-subtle wedge between the babyface team. Iyo Sky is a high spot machine and will give the crowd something to go nuts about come bell time.

Pair that with a lineup of women who know a thing or two about coming up big in the right moments, and this match should be fantastic.

Becky Lynch and A.J. Lee were late additions to the party, but they have added a higher sense of animosity to WarGames. These two have much to settle, and WarGames could be the spot where that happens.

It’s been a back-and-forth discussion as to who should win this match. Both teams would benefit from a victory here, but the smart money is leaning towards the babyface team. Flair is on the cusp of re-entering the main event scene. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky need to be viewed as contenders to Stephanie Vaquer. While Bliss and A.J. Lee are just sentimental favourites. The crowd would love a feel-good win here.

Winner: Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair & A.J. Lee

Men’s WarGames Match: Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Roman Reigns

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the Men’s WarGames match. The build has been great, for the most part, with each man logically getting brought into the fold. This is the best collection of 10 men that WWE can put together for a WarGames Match. In terms of interwoven storylines, this match has no equal. It helps to hype up the eventual explosion that will happen.

Most of the men in this match are no strangers to the WarGames gimmick, and those who will have no problem getting their licks in. There is a good mix of styles that should keep the action going and varied enough to keep things interesting.

With the Usos and Logan Paul being there, we will have a good chance of seeing a spot off the top of the cage. Plus, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will face off at some point, which is always a spectacle. This will be the main event of the night and should be a banger.

The heels should be winning this match. They are in a more advantageous position, and each man needs to come out looking strong. Each one should be making their way into a championship picture, and a victory here will set them on that path. It will also sow the seeds of conflict between Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk, creating another great program for the future.

Winners: Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar
