'You’re Still Alive' - Paul Heyman's Brutal Response to Braun Strowman After WWE RAW Promo
Paul Heyman WWE easter eggs

Paul Heyman has hit back at Braun Strowman after the former WWE star took umbrage over being left out of his Roman Reigns promo on RAW . The Hall of Famer had claimed that Bronson Reed was the first superstar in history to force Reigns to be stretchered out of an arena.

Paul Heyman Claps Back At Braun Strowman

Strowman called out Heyman for snubbing him during his promo by posting a picture of himself looking down at Reigns after he had made him leave on a stretcher. This segment occurred on RAW in 2017, but it was the caption that amused fans:

"(Yawn) yea ok Oswald Cobblepot!!"

Oswald Cobblepot is the fictional character known as The Penguin in DC Comics. Strowman had evidently mocked Heyman by comparing the 60-year-old to the clubfooted adversary of Batman.

Heyman didn't let Strowman off the hook and responded with a dig of his own at the former WWE Universal Champion. He wrote on X:

"Dear Mr Strowman, your post was brought to my attention. I have nothing negative to say about you, not to you sir. In fact, I am actually relieved and indeed celebratory to learn you're still alive, something most of us didn't realize and even fewer cared about. With love and respect, Paul Heyman."

WWE released Strowman in May 2025 due to budget constraints and reportedly due to concerns about his physical condition following several injuries. The Monster Among Men has been busy in his post-WWE career, and it may surprise Heyman to learn that he's currently starring in his own USA Network series, "Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman", which is jointly produced by WWE Studios and Bright North Studios.

Is Braun Strowman Done With Wrestling?

Braun Strowman WWE return

Strowman spent around 10 years with WWE, initially arriving in the company in early 2013 and debuting as a member of Bray Wyatt's Wyatt Family in August 2015. He was initially released back in 2021 due to budget cuts but returned in September 2022 once Triple H assumed creative control.

The 385-pounder's recurring injury problems and substantial contract led to his second release earlier this year. But he is still in the public eye and wants to use this period to focus on relationships with friends and family.

Strowman told fans in a video released on his X account that it wasn't the end of his pro wrestling career:

"Not saying that I’m not gonna get back in the ring and whip somebody’s a**, because we all know I can. But, it’s an opportunity for me to try some stuff and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to rekindling relationships with family and friends that I’ve missed out on and things that you don’t get to do while you’re on the road."

Strowman is one of WWE's most formidable big men in history who defeated Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36. He managed to get over with fans as a babyface and a heel.
