Former Pro Bowl RB joins XFL's Seattle Sea Dragons

Former Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay is taking his talents to the XFL.

On Saturday, Lindsay signed a deal with the Seattle Sea Dragons, who own the second-best record in the XFL.

Lindsay went undrafted out of Colorado in 2018 but signed with the Denver Broncos, where he'd spend the first three seasons of his NFL career.

In his rookie season in Denver, Lindsay rushed for over 1,000 yards and earned Pro Bowl honors, quickly emerging as the Broncos' top back. After another 1,000-yard season in his second year, Lindsay fell out of favor in Denver after his production began to decline.

Linsday split time with the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins in 2021 before signing with the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2022 campaign.

Last season, Lindsay played in only three games for the Colts, rushing for 49 yards off 15 carries and catching six passes for 19 yards in limited action.

Lindsay may have something left in the tank, and he'll get a shot to show it in the XFL.

Over five NFL seasons, Lindsay rushed for 2,848 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, with 18 touchdowns on the ground. Lindsay also recorded 87 receptions for 529 yards and two touchdowns.

The 28-year-old joins a who's who of former NFL players in the XFL. Former All-Pro and Lindsay's teammate with the Sea Dragons, Josh Gordon, and fellow wideout Martavis Bryant highlight the list. Several first-round picks also play for the rival football league, including Paxton Lynch, Matt Elam and Vic Beasley.
