For more on fantasy football projections and insights visit Punch Drunk Wonderland. A new quarterback stat that the folks at Pro Football Focus started keeping an eye on in recent years has been Average Depth of Target (aDOT).  The stat takes a look at what kind of distance a QB is looking at for his targets.  For instance, it might carry more meaning if a quarterback has a 60% completion percentage and Average Depth of Target of 10 yards than a quarterback with a 60% completion percentage and aDOT of 7 yards.  When looking at receivers we tend to note Yards Per Reception and Targets, so why not look at the same type of stat for QBs? In 2012 Andrew Luck was the poster boy of the Bruce Arians offensive system.  Long drop backs, time for plays for develop, and a ton of long balls. Luck led all quarterbacks in Average Depth of Target with 10.8 yards.  That’s a pretty significant stat and it plays a great deal into Luck’s successful fantasy production in 2012.  Sure, he was under 60% in...

Colts fans featured on team's game tickets

Last season, Colts fans got to witness something pretty spectacular in the season that many thought would be nothing. 2013 Colts Running Backs – What’s the story?

Coming off the 2012 season I was pretty excited for the prospect of Vick Ballard stepping up in 2013.  The coaching staff and GM, Ryan Grigson, we’re speaking highly of him and he certainly sounded like he could be the next workhorse in a new system that would see more pounding on the ground.  Ballard could be that between the tackles bully I’d really like to see.  In comes...

AFC South: July stock watch

Houston Texans, FLAT: The Texans are atop a week division. That simple fact may catch up to them in the playoffs. Six easy games will likely soften the Texans up a bit, and it's something they'll have to work to prevent from happening. The Texans are still one of the best teams in the league, and with the Patriots looking less and less like a Super Bowl contender, it may...
