PLAYERS: LeBron James
TEAMS: Miami Heat
The world of professional sports is like living in a comic book where everything is faster, higher, stronger, harder and infinitely more intense; star athletes are like mutant, superhuman X-Men characters.  For everyone that labors under the false notion that they were an ounce of training short of taking their talents to the show, read up and get an education in reality.  Who better illustrates this point than King James himself. Photo source: 1.  Lebron James is 6’8″, 250 pounds of muscle that twitches faster than a Meth addict at the policeman’s ball.  He was measured at 6.7% body fat when he was drafted in 2003 and if you look at pictures from now versus then, he’s only gotten stronger.  The average U.S. male is 5’10″, 194 lbs, 18-24% body fat.  Talent aside that puts him below the .1% line.  Shut up and eat your wings. Photo source: 2. With his insane muscle to weight ratio James achieves mutant status in his leaping ability.  40″+ inches.  That’s 3 and 1/3 feet.  He is the John Holmes of jumping and just like Holmes we stare in naked amazement at the size of his jump and ultimately are left completely emasculated but can’t stop watching. Photo source: 3.  Lebron James has a 7′ wingspan.  He is wider than he is long.  Every woman reading this article just exhaled a shuddering, lip trembling, breath…and probably ten percent of the guys.  You ready to continue?  He’s like a freaking bald eagle except instead of representing freedom from the tyranny of government it’s from the tyranny of gravity.   Who am I kidding, he probably does fight crime and oppression in the off-season. Photo source: 4. King James’ size is why he can guard the 4 and 5 but it’s his speed that lets him do whatever he wants.  He reportedly ran a 4.4 40 yard dash in high school and was unofficially timed at 4.6 recently for fun.  That time beats BOTH Patriots star tight ends Gronkowski and Hernandez and is .04 off Jimmy Graham’s time; and they trained to get those times at the combine.  If you combine his speed and leaping ability, it’s no wonder that he can get from the top of the arc to the rim in three steps; that’s 23’9″.  I went out to the blacktop near my house to see what it would take for me to get there and all I got was an overheard comment about “Who let that white kid out here without wearing his helmet.”   Not a proud moment but all the more reason why I will never fall prey to placing myself on the same pedestal of our world’s elite competitors; because it isn’t our world, it’s theirs.

LeBron James WWE Reaction to Being Fouled By Nate Robinson (Video)

LeBron James is the best player on the planet and there shouldn’t be much debate about that. With that being said, he is one of the best floppers in the NBA. Probably hard habit to kick, when you have done it for so long. He lied about not flopping before and we revealed a 7 min video of his most egregious flops. I am sure he will act like this didn’t happen last night. Oscar...

LeBron James-Carmelo Anthony Showdown Enticing, But Pacers Also Present Unique Challenge for Heat (Podcast)

LeBron James is the best basketball player in the world, but that doesn’t necessarily prove that his team is the greatest, too. The Miami Heat haven’t sewn up their title defense quite yet, despite holding a commanding series lead against Nate Robinson and the Chicago Bulls. The Heat’s next test will be a tougher one, and one that should provide many more interesting storylines...

Alonzo Mourning: Scottie Pippen thinks LeBron James would 'kick Michael Jordan's ass'

Former NBA big man Alonzo Mourning was on hand to celebrate a recent Microsoft store opening in Miami when he began fielding questions from the crowd.Naturally, the conversation quickly turned to Heat star LeBron James, and then eventually to King James versus Michael Jordan. This is when the former seven-time All-Star decided to share some gossip.

Posterizing is a thing now

Twitter has made the phenomenon of the posterizing dunk a cultural touchstone that inspires hashtags, constant replays, oohing and aahing and all kinds of hyperbole. When DeAndre Jordan dunked on Brandon Knight, the NBA world went buzzing. When LeBron James threw down on Jason Terry, the cycle started again. Everyone wants in on this action . . . so long as they are the one...

Unlikely Big 3 has Memphis in 1st Western finals

The Miami Heat have LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The Spurs have dominated for years with the trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Now the Memphis Grizzlies, who traded their leading scorer in January, have surged into their first Western Conference finals behind a very unlikely Big Three of their own. Marc Gasol still is Pau's little brother to some...

Why Didn’t Syracuse Ever Offer Superstar Kansas Commit Andrew Wiggins?

Five-star phenom Andrew Wiggins committed to Kansas yesterday and has been called the most dominant high school player since LeBron James. The 6’7” superstar was on Syracuse’s radar last fall, but the Orange never even offered a scholarship to the Huntington Prep small forward. Why didn’t Jim Boeheim didn’t make a hard push at the nation’s top hoops recruit? Follow...
