A roofer working on Florida State's new indoor training facility suffered a scare Friday morning.According to firefighters, the roofer tripped near the ridge line and fell backwards. Fortunately, he did not fall off the roof, but was injured during the fall and could not pull his self up to get back to safety.A backboard and basket had to be attached to a construction crane and hoisted five stories high so that the man could be strapped in and lowered to safety."It was probably a 45 degree pitch," firefigher Jeremy Rogers said. "We were attached to ropes that were attached to the building. Once we got to the patient, we went ahead and stayed clipped on and went ahead and attached the patient to the ball and then lowered the patient to the ground, but yes, it was pretty slick."The roofer, whose name has not been released, was taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment for his various back-related injuries.Conditions on the roof were undoubtedly wet at the time of the incident as the Tallahassee area experienced significant rainfall on Friday.Via WCTV
