Kelvin Beachum didn't have a perfect first start at left tackle Sunday in the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the New York Jets as he racked up two holding calls and one false start in the game. Beachum, however, wasn't sorry for the final holding call that took place early in the fourth quarter on second down at the Jets four yard-line.
"Even on the one play I got a holding call down there, I finished that guy," Beachum said after the game. "I wanted to put his face in the dirt, I wanted to spear him, I wanted to make sure that he felt the Steelers offensive line. If I got a holding penalty, so be it. I don't think it was holding, but like I said, it's football."
As you can see in the animated gif of the play below, Beachum did indeed impose his will on Jets outside linebacker Garrett McIntyre and I will leave it up to you to decide if it was a questionable call against him.
With newly acquired tackle Levi Brown now looking like he might be out for ...

Steelers receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught a pass from Ben Roethlisberger on Sunday and raced toward the end zone to help Pittsburgh clinch its first win of the season but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin didn’t like what Sanders did as he crossed the goal line.
Sanders leapt into the air and somersaulted into the end zone as he scored and Tomlin said today that he’s putting a stop...
The Steelers got their first win on Sunday against the Jets, which prompted Zoltan Mesko to execute a fantastic leaping photobomb of Ben Roethlisberger’s postgame interview. Sometimes you just gotta hijack some camera time…Zoltan knows.

Pittsburgh punter Zoltan Mesko gave the world one of the single greatest photobombs with this leaping effort behind quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Big game this Sunday and another must-win for the Steelers. The team has obviously had a lot of bad luck as it is, but one thing that is definitely working in their favor is the injury report. As you can see below, the Steelers are looking pretty healthy and the Jets are just riddled with bumps and bruises right now.
QB Ben Roethlisberger (finger) -...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is expected to play on Sunday against the Steelers after hyperextending his knee during practice this past week.

One added bonus of Sunday's win over the Saints was that Jets coach Rex Ryan had to watch his brother become the latest victim to Tom Brady's late game heroics on the same day that his New York Jets lost.
Let's just say that Sunday was not kind to the Ryans.
When asked about his brother's day in Gillette, Rex was to the point, per Christopher Price of...
Rex Ryan guarantees the New York Jets will beat the New England Patriots if the MetLife Stadium crowd shows up in full force on Sunday.
Detectives in Indian River County, Fla., are looking for a "white male with a tan complexion" wearing a green Mark Sanchez Jets jersey, who is suspected of robbing an area video game store.
Fortunately for Sanchez, there is video evidence that shows that the suspect actually looks nothing like the injured Jets quarterback. On Thursday, the man in the No. 6 jersey robbed...
Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers decided to pull a New York Jets type move, all while playing the Jets. Misery loves company?

THE STEELERS WON AND I GET TO WRITE A RECAP WITH A SUNNIER DISPOSITION AND ALL IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD FOR AT LEAST A WEEK.
The Steelers did their bye week preparation justice, and won a game against a team they should've beaten while taking their first halftime lead and interception(s!) of the season along the way. Big Ben had the offense moving, scoring...
FINALLY! That’s really all I can really say about Sunday’s win for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the New …
The New York Jets currently stand at 3-3. It's a record the team is probably unhappy with, but better than the pundits imagined. The Jets roster is thin, yet, even on the offensive side of things, the Jets have made plays when needed 50% of the time. A flip of the coin isn't enough in this league, so it begs the question—could one transaction push this Jets team over-the...
Jets halfback Mike Goodson suffered a torn ACL and MCL in Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.Fantasy Spin:Combined with his four-game suspension makes this a "lost" season for Goodson. Whether he'll make next season's roster is now up in the air.
I never thought I’d get the chance to say associate the 2013 Jets with a “trap game,” but here we are in Week Six with the 0-4 Steelers a clearly inferior opponent. With the Patriots’ match-up on the horizon, the Jets could be caught in a trap game this week.
The injury report isn’t too crowded for either team. The Jets will be without Antwan Barnes (IR), Santonio Holmes...
Multiple sources have confirmed that the New York Jets are signing veteran WR/KR Josh Cribbs.
The Jets brought Cribbs in for a workout two weeks ago, and even showed interest in him during the offseason. Cribbs, 30, initially signed with the Oakland Raiders once he was healthy, but was released before the start of the regular season.
As of now, the Jets are without some of their...
