In The Neutral Zone:
Despite a 9-0 record heading into their bye week, the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t quite been getting 9-0 record type respect. The strength of schedule thus far has left many people skeptical and some have been down right brutal, calling the Chiefs the worse 9-0 team in NFL history; however, this has not stopped Chiefs fans from feeling the team has returned to their glory days of the 1990′s. Even Brad Pitt gave a shout out to the Chiefs as he concluded a video discussing the great work of his “Make it Right” foundation as they work to transform a vacant school into affordable housing.

BEST OF MAXIM
The Kansas City Chiefs have heard the mumblings, 'they haven't played anyone good' or 'Denver is the best team in the NFL, never mind their records.' However, if QB Alex Smith can get his team past the Broncos, they'll still be undefeated and would have a huge slice of humble pie for all the doubters. In the meantime, during their bye week the Chiefs aren...
San Francisco 49ers, DID YOU MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE? I asked this question a week or two ago, but I really want to know, do you think you made the best choice to go with Colin Kaepernick? Alex Smith doesn’t seem to think so, but he is happy to be 9-0 right now as well. […]
Defensive line coach Tommy Brasher took over a line that had a few players who had yet to play up to their potential as high first-round draft picks, including second-year nose tackle Dontari Poe.
Back before he knew how any of this would turn out, John Dorsey made a simple statement that explains so much about how the Chiefs would escape their darkest hour.
This was seven months ago, a lifetime in NFL terms. Before 9-0. Before all the sacks and touchdowns from the defense. Before the season started. Before the draft. Before Dorsey had even found a house in Kansas City.
On Sunday afternoon, the Broncos will face the Chargers on the road while Chiefs players’ will travel back to Kansas City to begin prep for the biggest game of the season. But one them, Quarterback Alex Smith, is about to face one of the biggest challenges of his professional career.
It’s not often that you have to wonder if a team that starts a NFL season 9-0 is a pretender or a contender for going deep into the playoffs. In the case of the Kansas City Chiefs, it has to be considered to be a legitimate question. It’s impossible to win on a consistent basis in the NFL, so the Chiefs have to be applauded for an impressive start to this season, especially after...
Last week: 8 (+1)
It’s worth noting that the Bills’ offense led by Jeff Tuel outscored the Chiefs’ offense led by Alex Smith. The Bills won by 10 because of two return touchdowns, but that’s not a sustainable method of offense. Their schedule gets a lot harder from here on out. Their first 9 opponents were a combined 27-49 and they’ve faced 3 straight 3rd string...
9 – 0.. What does it mean?In a word… NOTHING. It’s a good start. It’s something to build on. It’s a great time to be a Chiefs fan. Big picture though, it means nothing. This isn’t a knock on the Chiefs. This is a positive way to look at everything we’re dealing with as fans. The doubt, the concerns, the lack of respect, and the overall disdain shown by many of the so...
The Kansas City Chiefs have avoided a loss so far, unlike the other teams shuffling around in the top five of the AP Pro32 rankings. The Vikings remained in 30th before Thursday night’s win but could move up after this weekend’s action.
Life is all about opportunity, don’t believe me?
Then just look at Alex Smith, who was benched after sustaining a concussion in week 10 against the Rams last year. You’re not suppose to lose your job due to injury, but that was the case here.
Colin Kaepernick took San Francisco by storm and led them to the Superbowl.
Alex Smith, the current starting quarterback of the undefeated...
Andy Reid and Rex Ryan are making hay with their teams, so is Bill Belichick according those paying attention.
With the Week 10 Sunday games ready to kick off tomorrow, the NFL playoff picture is starting to take shape and we’re seeing some unfamiliar faces.
The story in Kansas City just keeps getting better and better.
Of course we have to start with Kansas City, which finished last season with just two pathetic wins. Seeing KC rattling off consecutive wins almost seems normal now because...
