Online Sports Guys:
We've tried really hard not to wade into this, but it touches on a few of our favorite topics.

If you are a baseball fan, you know the all-star game is next week. And the last component to the two teams roster is a staged popularity contest known as the "Fan" vote.
And what this story is about is how polarizing it's become.

They are both desperate. This is the only reason I can think of that this plug happened. Regardless, I’ve never been more grateful for whatever string of awesome/terrible decision making led to this.
1) Puig can talk to animals.
2) Puig can do … things blindfolded.
3) Puig can...
It seems apparent that Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig will continue to be a flashpoint in the simmering antipathy between Los Angeles and Arizona Diamondbacks.
That animosity came to head last month with a bench-clearing brawl -- in which Puig played a supporting role by throwing a couple of haymakers -- that resulted in suspensions for five players, plus various managers and coaching...
With the MLB All-Star Game Final Vote campaign currently clogging your Twitter feeds today, one theme has been popping up surrounding the National League voting this week: is ESPN pushing Yasiel Puig a little too hard to win the vote?
If you simply looked at ESPN's Twitter, you wouldn't get that impression. One tweet about Puig has come out since the Final Vote began...

The music mogul’s newest target for his Roc Nation Sports agency is Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig, according to Yahoo! Sports. During a recent trip to New York, Puig was invited to a party at a club that Jay-Z owns after a teammate gave the 22-year-old the rapper’s information. Apparently, Puig left the meeting...
PHOENIX -- Kirk Gibson sees a lot of his younger self in rambunctious, sometimes reckless Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig.
"That's refreshing to watch," said Gibson, the Diamondbacks manager.
"Honestly, even from an opponent's point of view, that's refreshing."
Former Tigers manager Sparky Anderson once said Gibson played 150 percent at...
Your browser does not support iframes. Los Angeles Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig made a rookie mistake on Tuesday night when he tried to score from first on a dropped fly ball to center in the top of the 5th. The relay throw from Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Didi Gregorious beat Puig by several steps, and all [...]
There’s aggressiveness on the basepaths, then there’s forcing a play. During the Dodgers’ 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks in Arizona, Yasiel Puig demonstrated the latter.
In the top of the fifth inning, Adrian Gonzalez came to the plate with the bases loaded, driving a long fly ball to straightaway center field. The runners had to freeze as Arizona center fielder Adam Eaton tracked...
Somebody get this chinaman off me.
The lists and the guest posts are over which means that it is time for me to roll up my blogging sleeves again and get to work once more. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time that I actually wrote one of my usual daily gems. When was the last time that I poked the big, handicapped Buckeye bear? Well, it won’t be today. I did a lot...
The Diamondbacks are reeling after seeing their comfortable 4.5-game NL West lead shrink to 1.5 games after the Dodgers swept them in three games, including a 14-inning heart breaker Wednesday.
L.A., with rookie phenom Yasiel Puig and a resurgentg starting rotation, has been suggested as the new NL West favorite, so it's up to the D-backs to bounce back and protect their ground...
