Found November 05, 2013 on Brooklyn Balling:
Brook (right ankle) and Blatche (left ankle) are a little banged-up, but not severely With the Nets getting ready to take on the Utah Jazz at Barclays tonight in an attempt to get back to .500, two of Brooklyn's big men are dealing with some minor ailments which may affect how they play this evening. Both Brook Lopez and Andray Blatche sprained their ankles during Sunday night's loss to the Magic in Orlando, with Brook hurting his right and Andray his left. Lopez and Blatche sat out of Monday's Nets' practice to rest their ailments but are believed to be available for tonight's game against Utah. The Nets really can't afford significant injuries to Lopez, for sure, and to Blatche as well, since Brook anchors the Brooklyn frontcourt and Andray stabilizes the reserves. Ankle and foot injuries tend to be problematic for big men, so it's very good news that the sprains suffered by the pair aren't expected to be serious.

Mikhail Prokhorov says 5-year-championship plan based on Vladimir Lenin’s plan

It’s not often that we get to talk about Russian revolution Vladimir Lenin on this website but when his spirit is invoked by current Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, it needs to be known why. Recently, Mikhail spoke with Yes Network’s Sarah Kustok about his team’s current state and she asked him where he came up with the five-year championship plan which is how Mr. Lenin...

Kevin Garnett Gave Nets “Heated Lecture” After Blowout Loss To Magic

The Brooklyn Nets may have championship aspirations and potential on paper, but if they don’t play with a sense of urgency by they might become the biggest assembled disappointment to come through the league in sometime. Brooklyn Nets players dons short shorts and afros in Funny or Die video

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted a Funny or Die video on this fair website and recently, some of the notable members of the Brooklyn Nets decided to combine with Funny or Die to create this hilarious sketch. The premise of the sketch shows Paul Pierce, Deron Williams, Tyshawn Taylor, and Shaun Livingston going back to the old school ways of basketball in a fake promo: The...

Kevin Garnett Still Figuring Out Role in Limited Minutes With New-Look Brooklyn Nets

In many ways, Kevin Garnett on Tuesday looked like the same player Celtics fans came to know and love the last six years. Garnett turned down a wide-open layup to attempt an unnecessary pass that went out of bounds, then crossed up young big man Derrick Favors for a highlight-caliber drive to the basket a short while later. In less than 14 minutes of game action, the full Garnett...

Video: Brooklyn Nets get a little ‘old school’ in Funny or Die clip

Brooklyn Nets stars Deron Williams, Tyshawn Taylor, Paul Pierce and Shaun Livingston may be playing for a new-school branded team, but the four are going old-school.

Deron Williams is slowly getting his legs back and Nets will need them

As Deron Williams goes, so goes the Nets’ five-threat offense. There is no great mystery there, no debate. Kevin Garnett is not paid to dribble downcourt, penetrate and distribute. And while Brook Lopez proved Tuesday night to be an impossible matchup for the Jazz, somebody still had to get him the ball in the right place, strolling through the paint. The numbers were clear throughout...

Paul Pierce Shows Love for New Home in Brooklyn in American Express Commercial (Video)

Seeing Paul Pierce in the black and white of the Brooklyn Nets is still more than a little strange for Celtics fans. Just four months have passed since the franchise-shaking trade that sent Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry down to New York City, but No. 34 seems to already be settling in nicely in his new surroundings. In a newly released American Express commercial entitled...

Game 4 Recap: Brooklyn Nets 104, Utah Jazz 88. The One Where Brook Lopez Dominated

Brook obliterated a Utah frontcourt sorely missing Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap, who are playing in Charlotte and Atlanta respectively After an extremely disappointing loss to the Magic two days ago, the Brooklyn Nets finally got an easy win as they blew out the Utah Jazz at Barclays tonight. Severely handicapped by injuries, the Jazz were simply no match for a...

Paul Pierce casually embarrasses Victor Oladipo

Paul Pierce is 36. Victor Oladipo is 21. Who knew the old man was capable of crossing-over a young stud? The dunk in the face of Jason Maxiell isn’t bad either. The Truth is still a baaaad man. (h/t Ball is Life)
