Buffalo Bills starting tight end Scott Chandler had his 2012 season cut short by an ACL tear. Despite his early jokes about returning better than Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, Chandler has a chance to return to the field faster than expected, and has performed at a higher than expected level as well. Chandler, who had his surgery a mere four and a half months ago, has been running and cutting on his surgically repaired knee, eyeing a return to the playing field in time for the regular season. “The knee feels really good,” Chandler said. “I feel great. Running routes you could probably tell it’s not 100 percent, but it’s better than most so I feel good.” Chandler's knee was repaired by Dr. Leslie Bisson and Chandler was working with trainers in Iowa, where he resides during the offseason. So far, Chandler has been running routes for roughly three weeks and will continue to work on his knee until he's 100 percent. “It feels normal,” said Chandler. “I can’t say enough about what those guys have done.” The Bills will see how well Chandler does over the next couple of weeks as they head into minicamps.
