It can be hard to keep up in the NFL, especially as a rookie. Arizona’s Robert Gill just might not have that problem.
The 29-year-old undrafted rookie took to the treadmill at the brisk pace of 25 mph. No, he didn’t ease his way in, starting at a single-digit speed like most people. He, quite literally, hit the ground running.
Gill, out of Texas State-San Marcos, is fighting for a roster spot this offseason, and with a 40-yard dash coming in at 4.19 seconds, his speed will be hard to ignore.
The Cardinals wideout, it turns out, was a former track star. Please contain your shock.

A 29-year old rookie, Robert Gill showed why the Arizona Cardinals gave him a chance after running 25 miles per hour on a treadmill. Can't teach speed.
Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Robert Gill is 29 years old and the oldest rookie in the NFL. He also might be one of the most athletic players in the league. Running on a 25 MPH treadmill, no matter how long, is nothing short of insane. His legs were a complete blur while he was running and I have no clue how he didn’t fall. I’d love to see him return some kicks...
