The Twitter avatar bet is slowly becoming the wager of choice for many professional athletes whose teams square off in the NCAA Tournament (or bowl games). The latest example? Former Syracuse football star Chandler Jones and former Michigan standout Zoltan Mesko put it all on the line for the Final Four game Saturday night. The two are currently teammates for the New England Patriots.
Of course, Jones lost the bet after Michigan triumphed over Syracuse. He made good on his word, changing his avatar to the Wolverines’ logo.
This begs the question: would you rather have to change your Twitter avatar, or wear the other team’s clothing all day? It’s a toss up.
