Chiefs and Andy Reid About To Go 8-0...And There's No Smoke And Mirrors About It

Posted October 25, 2013

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Cleveland Browns this weekend and will go for their 8th straight win to start the season. Pretty impressive for a team that won just 2 games all last season. If they won just 8 games all year and went 8-8 it would be a major turn around. But Andy Reid obviously has this team believing in themselves. The defense swarms to the ball and hasn't surrendered more than 17 points in any game this season. With 35 sacks and 9 fumble recoveries so far they are playing inspired defense under Andy Reid who has obviously found a nitch now that he is away from the oppressive confines of Philadelphia.

This team is no joke and is obviously playing for keeps. And as one Barker said on here..."It's all smoke and mirrors", I say, no don't start 7-0 in the NFL by mistake. Couldn't be happier for Andy Reid and I hope he has continued success. Their biggest tests will come in the two meetings with the Broncos and the one with the Colts but the way Andy has them playing they could take 2 of the 3 in those games as well.

  • Let me guess who that Barker is GR who thinks Reid is a joke. I think we both know. Anyways, what Andy has accomplished so far in K.C. is amazing. He's a good guy with a brilliant football mind and he's putting it to work in K.C. Go Andy! Go Chiefs!
  • I didn't put the Barkers name in the blog cuz I didn't want to be accused of trying to make him look bad...he knows he said it though. But it's absurd for anybody to not give Reid the props he deserves. You just don't win 7 straight in the NFL unless your good. I'm sure there are plenty of beagles fans that will refuse to give Andy credit now that he's succeeding somewhere else, but that's just sour grapes and it's to be expected from the beagles fan base. Man I am so enjoying a spotella free YB these days, Be cool.
  • Andy can coach. Hes a crummy gameday manager thats a proven fact. But the real problem will arise when Andy throws a key player under the bus. There is a fine line when laying the blame at ones feet. Im sure to a certain degree Andy was handcuffed by the cheap Eagle owner known as Lurie but Reid was a co conspirator along with Banner. Banner has the axe out in Cleveland. They had a couple of wins and thoght everything was OK but he has just begun to treat them to what he learned hear in Philly. Add in the mess with Reids kids and you have a guy that no matter what he wins on the field he has lost in the game of life. So a football win means what when you have lost a son?
  • We 're not talking about his personal life here Holly, my point is the man deserves props for what he has accomished so far this season. I'm a huge Yankees fan but I can still give props to the Red Sox for what they accomplished this season after a disastrous one under valentine last year. Enjoy the games this weekend dude.
