Colts' free agent acqusition Darrius Heyward-Bey is on a roll.  With health, size and his ability to make catches questioned, the wide reciever carried with him some risks heading into his innagural regular-season campaign with the Colts. He's now showing the reward that lies on the flip side of those risks. At the conclusion of practice on Thursday, Chuck Pagano commented on the fifth-year reciever's performance. "[Heyward-Bey] has really had two back-to-back, really good days," he said. "Yesterday he opened with a big play, so I think from there he's started to look more comfortable in the offense ... and he's making plays. Whether it's big plays down the field or underneath." Heyward-Bey made some six catches on Thursday and ran great routes to get them. One stood out in particular, a quick five-yard comeback move on the left side of the field gave him all the room in the world to make one of those "underneath" plays that Pagano referred to. If Heyward-Bey can make short routes a consistent piece of his arsenal, he'll be a huge weapon in 2013. He left his man (Vontae Davis) in the dust on the next play, too. Quarterback Andrew Luck didn't look his way though and missed an easy over-the-top completion. On the ensuing play, Luck forced a ball towards Heyward-Bey for an incompletion. That didn't happen often though. The quick reciever was wide open on multiple occasions. Luck knew when to look his way, too. Something else Pagano made note of in his press conference. "I think from a confidence standpoint he's getting more comfortable," he said. "And obviously the chemistry is starting to grow between him and Luck."
