WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Summer school is over, but the real education is just beginning. The Bruins wrapped up their sixth annual development camp Monday at Ristuccia Arena, closing the five-day camp with more power-skating drills in the morning followed by a final scrimmage. The White team prevailed 4-2 in that one to sweep the scrimmages that closed out the final two days of the camp. But while that little taste of game-like situations may have excited the large crowd on hand, the real purpose of the camp is to give the organization's young prospects a taste of what professional hockey...

Dougie Hamilton has instilled a new level of excitement in Bruins fans, as they await his arrival at the pro club sometime this year. Petere Chiarelli discussed Hamilton, Jared Knight and some of the other youngsters chances at making the roster come training camp and what the players must do after developmental camp to really improve their chances. MILF Hunter Tyler Seguin Ran Into Porn Star Tyler Faith Last Night

After the Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011, young star Tyler Seguin quickly became a mainstay on the party scene. Looks like this Beantown bro hasn’t slowed down rolling into this off-season. Seguin last night just happened to run into porn slut Tyler Faith. Tyler and Tyler, a match made in heaven…except for the fact Seguin was 10 when Tyler Faith (on his left shoulder) first...

Dougie Hamilton Among Young Players Looking Strong for Bruins Going Into Summer (Video)

The Bruins may not be trading, but they have been busy this offseason -- on the ice. Dougie Hamilton is among the young players who have been putting the work in even as temperatures rise outside. His efforts -- and the work done by new goalkeeper Malcolm Subban -- have Bruins coaches singing praises early. See what Hamilton and Subban had to say on Bruins Face-Off Live Summer Edition.

Peter Chiarelli Expects Quiet Bruins Offseason as GM Tries to Keep Team Together (Video)

Just a year ago the Bruins were touting the Stanley Cup, the culmination of an incredible run through the playoffs. A bit removed from that success, the Bruins want to keep that same core in tact and believe that it will continue to have success moving forward. At least that's the official story from general manager Peter Chiarelli, who sees players like Tukka Rask and Tuukka...

Benoit Pouliot, Joe Corvo, Greg Zanon Find New Homes in Free Agency

While the Bruins didn't make any additions on the first day of free agency and are not actively looking to make any moves, three players did officially become former Bruins on Sunday. Forward Benoit Pouliot and defenseman Joe Corvo are both headed to the Southeast Division on one-year deals, with Pouliot signing with Tampa Bay and Corvo returning to Carolina. Fellow blueliner...

Ty Anderson: The First 48: B's quiet, but could veteran help be on tap?

Despite premature cries regarding the need for a 'sniper' in the Hub, nobody expected the Boston Bruins to do much when it came to the first 48 hours of NHL free agency. But on the heels of a Friday conference with B's GM Peter Chiarelli confirming that the Bruins would be quiet when the clock struck noon on July 1st, the weekend didn't end without a few potential...

Statistical Profile: Greg Zanon

Greg Zanon was the Avs second* move in the 2012 free agency day, but he's going to be the first guy I profile. (*Matt Carkner excepted)Let's start with some basics and work our way into the advanced stuff. Zanon's a difficult one to profile, since he was on two teams, sites like Behindthenet.ca  don't do as well with players who played for 2 teams. Zanon's career...

Shawn Thornton Curses at, Fights Mark Wahlberg in Feature Film Cameo

Shawn Thornton certainly isn't doing any acting when he's getting in fights on the ice or driving opponents hard in to the boards. However, those same skills may well have come in handy as Thornton showed his skills as a thespian, performing a cameo in Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane's first feature film. Ted is the story of a veritable grown-up Pinocchio, a teddy bear...

Happy Free Agent Day!

Today marks the free agent signing frenzy. Here's what we expect from the Peter Chiarelli and the Boston Bruins today:At most, a depth guy you never heard of (at most). Don't expect a big splash from Chia, not with a limited cap which currently stands at a tiny $277,857. Any signing would need a trade or two to make room before the season starts.Edit: We forgot about Savard...

Malcolm Subban, Justin Courtnall Trying to Carve Out Own Identities Within Famous Hockey Families

WILMINGTON, Mass. -- For most of the undrafted or unsigned players invited to participate in the Bruins development camp, it can be a pretty anonymous existence skating alongside the organization's most highly-touted prospects. That's not the case for Justin Courtnall. He brought to the camp not just the solid resume he had put together in his first three seasons at Boston...

Avalanche sign a defenseman after all, opt for Greg Zanon

This year’s Frantisek Kaberle for the Boston Bruins has found a new home, per the Ottawa Sun’s Bruce Garrioch (let’s cross our fingers and hope the Avs don’t redact this one): Greg Zanon has signed with Avalanche

Bruins off season

According to a recent article on Yahoo! Sports by Emma Harger, the Bruins are keeping quiet during the free agent frenzy. All ready we say goodbye to Joe Corvo, Benoit Pouliot, and Greg Zanon. Although I would have liked to see Pouliot return, I am not that upset with the trade. Pouliot showed some flashes of brilliance and at other times looked like he was clueless. As for Corvo...
