According to Michael Gehlken of the U-T San Diego, linebacker Dwight Freeney “hobbled” off the field and had to have his leg tapped.
Dwight Freeney (left leg) hobbled off field, got taped up during first team drill of camp. Walking fine. Larry English now working with 1s.

Gehlken did note that Freeney was able to finish practice and looked okay.

If the Chargers were to lose Freeney to injury, it would weaken an already non-existent pass rush. What would make it worse is the fact that Freeney was signed after the team lost Melvin Ingram for most, if not all, of the season to an injured ACL.
Gehlken also tweeted that 2011′s second-round pick Jonas Mouton had to be carted off the field with an unknown injury.
This will be something interesting to monitor as camp goes on for the Chargers.

2013 will no doubt be Philip Rivers’ legacy year. Coming off his worst statistical season since 2007, he must respond to the growing criticisms that he is no more than a Jay Cutler: a headstrong, immovable Southern gunslinger-style QB who forces too many throws that create too many turnovers.Whether you believe in Rivers’ abilities or not, an offense can’t put up points without...
The San Diego Chargers signed Max Starks this off season in order to avoid a repeat of last year that saw the team starting an undrafted rookie at left tackle. For the first time in years San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers must learn a new offensive system with new terminology new calls and new reads and people say that may be good.
I don't. I say it's downright necessary.
And here's why: Philip Rivers is in a position not all that far removed from where Kurt Warner was when he first went to Arizona. He's won playoff...
Rookie linebacker Manti Te'o continues to rebound from what the Chargers are describing as a sprained right foot.
