Former Redskins cornerback Fred Smoot was a guest on a podcast and claimed that no one likes former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith. “Nobody that meets Emmitt Smith likes Emmitt Smith,” Smoot said, via the Washington Post. “Have you ever heard anybody say, hey man, I met that Emmitt Smith and I really love him? Nobody likes Emmitt Smith. I don’t know if he’s just a jerk because he’s a Cowboy. I don’t know. He be rubbing people the wrong way.” Smoot has always had a hatred towards the Cowboys, so these comments shouldn’t be a surprise. “We hate Dallas,” Smoot told Dan Steinburg of the DC Sports Bog at one time. “We hate Dallas. It’s just been like that, and it’s always gonna be like that. I got family members that love Dallas so I don’t even talk to them during the week. That’s just what it is. I literally don’t talk to them….You know, I was in that Mississippi [State]-Ole Miss hatred battle, and once I got here and Darrell Green kind of sat me down and said look here, this is how it is, this is your Ole Miss now. And I kind of bought into it….I can be around the players off the field and stuff, but when it’s time, it’s time. Usually I’m one of the guys that come out early before the game to talk to players that I know off the other team. I never do that against Dallas. Ever. Never.” I like Emmitt.  I miss watching him on ESPN.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... The post Fred Smoot says “Nobody that meets Emmitt Smith likes Emmitt Smith” appeared first on Pro Football Zone.

  • fred smoot is an absolute nobody when it comes to Emmitt Smith. how many times I wonder how many times Fred Smoot would have gotten run over by Emmitt. Smoot is a little mouthy guy anyway and will be long forgotten when Emmitt Smith name will still be spoken with respect around the NFL. and that's from a Redskin Fan and a limo driver that has driven the little mouthy guy.

Redskins veteran Smoot: Nobody likes Emmitt Smith

Cowboys vs. Redskins. There is definitely bad blood between the division foes. Though the rivalry may have hit its peak during "The Triplets" years, some still hold on the tension. LB Ryan Kerrigan is excited about the Redskins’ defense

Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan thinks the defense will play much more like the second half of the 2012 season than it did earlier in the year. “That’s what’s exciting about this season, because we had so many injuries on defense, and you kind of saw us figure it out in the second half of the season, but we need to be able to put that together for 16 games,...

Fantasy Football: Why Alfred Morris Will Avoid Sophomore Slump

Alfred Morris was a monster in 2012, putting up the second most rush yards and touchdowns in the league. He was a rookie. A sixth round pick. But anyways... Alfred Morris is a monster...
