Starting left tackle Jared Gaither is still from his injury that he sustained during training camp. Undrafted rookie Mike Harris from UCLA has been filling in while Gaither recovers.

According to a source from the Union Times, Mike Harris has been informed that he will be starting week one against the Raiders.

Harris struggled in week three versus veteran pass rusher Jared Allen. Now, with a seasons start on the line, Harris will have to step up once again and battle to keep QB Philip Rivers protected and give him time to pass the ball.

Harris will also need to work more on remaining calm when the crowd makes noise, he had several false start penalties thus far, and it makes the game very difficult to win when you are moving the ball backwards more than once on one particular drive.

Harris will need to have extra preparation because the Raiders will no doubt try to exploit Harris' inexperience in the league on a Monday night setting.

There is no sign thus far on a Jared Gaither return. Making several Bolt fans angry.

There have been rumors about the Chargers shopping the free agents and looking for trade on a temporary option for LT. There has been no reported truth to those rumors yet. However, A.J Smith may be looking to move some players around and make a deal to happen. Keep an eye out for that in the next couple days or weeks depending on Gaithers status.
