Found August 23, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The New York Giants have been without defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul throughout training camp after he underwent back surgery late into the offseason. At this point, Pierre-Paul is attempting to work his way back into playing shape by Week 1. Head coach indicated that Pierre-Paul is nearing a pivotal step in his return from injury, as he told reporters – including those at – that the pass rusher is “getting close” to being activated from the physically unable to perform list. Pierre-Paul is focused on being healthy enough to be on the Giants’ active roster when the regular season begins. If he’s not activated from the PUP list by Week 1, he wouldn’t be eligible for activation until after Week 6. It seems like he’ll be able to avoid this fate, but it remains unclear when he’ll return to the field for the Giants. Even after he’s activated from the PUP list, Pierre-Paul has indicated that he’ll continue to take things slow as he doesn’t want to rush his rehab process. He’s said that Week 1 isn’t his focus, he simply wants to make it back healthy as soon as possible. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?

Giants co-owner says ‘Hard Knocks’ is a distraction for the players (Video)

I have to give Giants co-owner Steve Tisch some credit.  He never gets annoyed by TMZ bothering him and always answers their questions with a smile. Tisch was asked why the Giants won’t do HBO’s Hard Knocks. “I don’t think it brings anything to the team,” Tisch said … “It’s a bit of a distraction and I think it’s sort of misleading for the players … especially...

Jets, Giants seek answers in annual preseason tilt

When the NFL chose the Giants and Jets to host the 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, there was some wishful thinking in the area that the locals might somehow find a way to play in the first cold-weather title game in the modern era.
