This afternoon the Bills announced that Wood suffered a partially torn MCL in Sunday’s 34-18 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is expected to miss at least the next two weeks, and potentially the remainder of the season. This injury is the most recent in a string of leg injuries for the former first round pick out of Louisville. After playing in 49 straight games while in college, Wood has suffered injuries in each of his first four seasons in the NFL. In three of the four, he suffered knee injuries that have caused him, or could cause him to miss the remainder of the season. Now, the first one of his career was the most unfortunate, and can easily be labeled as a freak incident. If you don’t remember, it was a game in 2009, his rookie season, against Jacksonville. A Jaguars defender fell into Wood’s leg and snapped it in a very “Thiesmann-esque” injury. If you want to see it, check out the video above. In 2010, Wood missed just two with an ankle injury, but it was an injury non...

Bills release LB Morrison to make room for OL help

The Buffalo Bills have released veteran linebacker Kirk Morrison, who became the odd-man out on a team needing to fill holes on a banged-up offensive line. The move was announced Monday, shortly after coach Chan Gailey said the Bills were contemplating making a roster move to free up space after losing two starting linemen in a 34-18 win over Jacksonville. Center Eric Wood (left...

Bills’ Ryan Fitzpatrick leads five consecutive scoring drives in win vs. Jags

Buffalo Bills WB Ryan Fitzpatrick kept the Bills very very slim playoff hopes alive, leading his team on five consecutive scoring drives to knock off the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-18. While his numbers weren’t all that great, 9 for 17, 112 yards, 2 TDs and INT, they don’t quite tell the whole story. Sure it was against a struggling team like Jacksonville, but he persevered without...

Bills vs. Colts: The future of FitzGailey

What job is the most repetitive, boring, and mundane of all jobs? Well in my short time on this earth I haven’t had many, but I have watched enough Buffalo Bills football to notice that the rhetoric for writers and broadcasters covering the team hasn’t changed for over a decade. The job of a Bills reporter is walk into One Bills Drive and report to the masses the intense...

Fantasy Football News – Steve Johnson Leaves Game with Hamstring Injury

Fantasy Football News - Buffalo Bills wideout Steve Johnson has left the game due to a hamstring injury. His return is questionable. FFLockerRoom Take - He has had a solid game, collecting a touchdown for fantasy football owners. Unfortunately the real NFL takes precedent and with the Bills sporting a nice lead it is very possible they decide to rest their young stud for the remainder...

5 Things I Billieve Following Buffalo’s 34-18 Victory Over the Jacksonville Jaguars

I may owe Dave Wannstedt an apology. No one wanted Wannstedt fired more than me earlier this...

Bills/Jags recap: 34-18

I have to admit, I had my mind already made up as to what I was going to write about today's game, win or lose. It was on my mind as I was going through Twitter at around 1130am. Anyone covering the game alluded to it. In case you couldn't find an illegal feed, the Bills won, 34-18. I'm pretty sure more people watched this game illegally than those in attendance....

Bills' 'backup' tailback carries offense in win over Jax

Things are a whole lot easier when the Buffalo Bills have enough carries to spare between their two No. 1-caliber running backs. A stout defensive showing and ground-and-pound-friendly weather Sunday eliminated any urgency with the Bills' offense, and 186 rushing yards between Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller was the result in a 34-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. “We...

Snoozing down the stretch

I have to admit, I have a serious writer's block when it comes to the Bills right now.  I know what the angles are...should they lose out for a better draft pick? Does Sunday's win really mean anything? Should I just give up on the football team? The angles are there, but I've gone through all of them in the two plus years I've been blogging. It is hard for me...
