The Los Angelers Lakers got blown out at home by the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Staples Center Friday night, and even Lakers superfan (and legendary actor) Jack Nicholson couldn't stand it. Nicholson, along with actor/comedian Adam Sandler, used a fourth quarter timeout as an opportunity to head home early as the Lakers were down 103-81 with 7:31 remaining. It was a smart move on their part to beat the traffic, as they didn't miss much. The final score was a 116-101 Thunder victory. H/T Cosby. Kendrick Perkins makes Shaqtin’ a Fool, calls himself a bonehead for awful pass

Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins’ awful fastbreak pass attempt last Friday was so bad it landed him a spot on TNT’s “Shaqtin’ a Fool” Thursday, but luckily the big man has a good sense of humor about it. That shaqin a fool was so funny, I look like a bone head Lmao — Kendrick Perkins (@KendrickPerkins) January 11, 2013 Good thing he can laugh about it,...

Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler walk out on Lakers (Video)

How bad are the Los Angeles Lakers? So bad that actor Jack Nicholson decided to walk out of a game with over seven minutes left. Nicholson is one of the franchise’s most notable fans. He has been a Lakers season ticket holder since 1970 and a fixture sitting courtside at the team’s home games for years. On Friday night, he appeared to be so disgusted with the Lakers’ play...

Thunder 116, Lakers 101

Kevin Durant scored 42 points, Russell Westbrook had 27 points and 10 assists, and the Oklahoma City Thunder easily sent the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers to their sixth straight loss, 116-101 Friday night. Kevin Martin scored 15 points and hit three 3-pointers for the Thunder, who romped to a 27-point lead in the second half of their seventh win in nine games. Oklahoma City ...

Video: Jack Nicholson Has Seen Enough

Die-hard Lakers fan and Staples Center regular, Jack Nicholson, waves goodbye to the ESPN cameras early in the fourth quarter of the Thunder’s blowout over the LA Lakers, which ended in a 116-101 OKC victory. This is the Lakers 1st 6-game losing streak since March 2007.

Jack, Sandler walk out on Lakers

Jack Nicholson has been a prominent figure at the Staples Center, always sitting court side supporting the Los Angeles Lakers.  The Lakers were supposed to be a lock to get to the Western Conference Championship game, at the very least, and they have absolutely plummeted.  They’re on their second coach and they’ve only played 36 games; their playoff hopes are dwindling.  You...

Thunder-Trail Blazers Preview

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken their high-scoring act on the road, where they'll mostly spend the rest of January. The Portland Trail Blazers, though, have been pretty stingy at home recently. Oklahoma City looks to end Portland's nine-game home winning streak by earning a fifth straight victory in the series Sunday night. The Thunder (28-8) rank...

Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler Gather Coats, Wave Goodbye to Lakers Early (Video)

We’re not sure what algorithm they used, but apparently 22 points was the tipping point at which Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler considered it acceptable to abandon another poor Lakers effort. Nicholson and Sandler caught Friday night’s Staples Center event, which was billed as a game between the Lakers and Thunder. Instead, Kevin Durant dropped 42 points on the canary-colored...

Even Jack Nicholson Has Thrown In The Towel On The Lakers

Jack Nicholson has apparently had enough of the woeful 15-21 Lakers — well, at least he did on Friday night. With 7:31 left in the fourth quarter and his beloved Lakers down 22 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jack gave a playful wave to the ESPN broadcast crew and peaced out of Staples Center, along with celebrity co-fan Adam Sandler. Sticking around was Lou Adler, who apparently...

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler walked out on the Lakers last night

We’re almost at the end of the road here for the Lakers. We’ve already heard from a not so optimistic Steve Nash, Magic Johnson has seemingly thrown in the towel and now famous fans are walking out on the team. With over 7 minutes still left in the game, Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler decided that they had seen enough and there was no way the Lakers could come back from a 103...

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler Walk out on Lakers (Video)

Last night the LA Lakers got embarrassed by the OKC Thunder 116-101 on their home court.  It got so bad that with 7:31 left in the game Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler walked out.  Nicholson is a long time fan who goes to every single game.  Not good Lakers. Sandler on the other hand is a Knicks fan so he might have persuaded Nicholson to get up a little early.  Although a 22...
