On Monday,  New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese made it clear that they know they can’t count on running back David Wilson next season because of a neck injury that could end up ending his career. “I don’t think you go into the next season saying David Wilson’s going to be our No. 1 starting running back,’’ Reese said, via the New York Post. “The guy is coming off of a neck surgery, if he decides to have it.’’ Reese says the Giants remain “hopeful’’ Wilson will be able to continue his career. “The earlier reports that I’ve gotten, doctors do think they can fix this and he’ll be able to play,’’ Reese said. Let’s face it,  even if Wilson is able to continue his career, he hasn’t done enough to be their starting running back.  He still has a lot to prove.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... • As a fan I once had hope that Wilson could be a dynamic running back for the Giants. Not anymore, and not just because of the neck injury either. He just seems to go down way too fight or drive to move the pile or deliver a blow to a defender. Add to that a neck injury and what you have is the Giants needing to shore up their backfield. Should Andre Brown finally have a healthy 16 game season he is most definitely a 1000+ yard rusher easily. But Brandon Jacobs will probably not be in the mix so your left with Hillis and a FB in Conners. They will pick I believe 12th in the draft...they need to get another solid O Lineman for sure,(Eli was running for his life this season), but also need to take a look at possible RB's. It's a dilemma to say the least. But as far as Wilson he looks like a huge bust so far.

According to the New York Daily News,  a California man has pleaded not guilty for allegedly posing as an aide to Giants general manager Jerry Reese. Kenny Tarr, 32, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday to enter his plea and say he’s a hoax artist, not a criminal. It sounds like this guy has no life and was bored. Prosecutors filed the charge Dec. 17, claiming Tarr illegally...

Giants won’t count on injured Wilson being top back

David Wilson played in only five games this season before a herniated disk in his neck landed him on injured reserve and the uncertainty about his physical health led Giants general manager Jerry Reese to verbalize a serious concern. “I don’t think you go into the next season saying David Wilson’s going to be our No. 1 starting running back,’’ Reese said Monday. “The...

Eli Manning: “I Need To Play Better”

Eli Manning had an awful season when you compare it to the standard set by his brother Peyton, and the other four or five quarterbacks in the league who hover in that elite stratosphere. The younger Manning has dubbed himself elite in years past, but simply didn’t have it in 2013.  Manning’s numbers of 3,818 yards, 18 touchdowns, and a league high 27 interceptions haven’t...
