It might be over a month until training camp begins but that hasn’t stopped Deron Williams from getting several of his teammates together in Los Angeles this week to begin preparing for the upcoming season. For Jason Kidd the fact that most of his team – including starters Williams Joe Johnson Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett – already is putting in extra work to get ready is music to the first year head coach’s ears. “Yeah for sure” Kidd said after playing in The Barclays Pro-Am at Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City Wednesday. “To be able to start gelling and getting to know each other [is good] because it is kind of a different team. “For the young guys Mason [Plumlee] and [Tyshawn Taylor] to be out there [Garnett] and Paul and Joe it just shows that these guys are going in the right direction and being very professional. I know during the summer time they could do something else but to come together for a couple days shows that they’re trying to get ready and they want to...

Andray Blatche Hosted “Lapdance Tuesday”

Andray Blatche is no stranger to the phenomenon of “Lapdance Tuesday.” In face it is part of what got him run out of Washington even though he said then “It’s not a strip club at all [...] You could go in there on any Tuesday and you would not see no strippers.” If there are no strippers, whats the point? He has the right to make it partly cloudy if he wants though. I...

The Boston Celtics, regrets, and another lessson of life learned from the Big Three

It was only three years ago when the Boston Celtics were in the NBA Finals. Only three years ago, the Boston Celtics were only minutes away from winning their eighteenth championship in franchise history. Three years ago does not seem like a very long time, and in the grand scheme of time, it is not. Yet three years later, those Celtics that competed for the title three years ago...

Video: KG practicing with the Nets

It's rather depressing to think that a few months ago we had Rondo, Pierce, KG, Green, and Bradley aka a better team than the Nets and now they have a legitimate shot for a title while we're forced debating whether it's better off for us to win 15 or 35 games this season. ESPN did The Association one year too soon with the Nets. KG will transform the whole culture there...

Kidd taking a page from Popovich’s book on resting players

Apparently the large fine the San Antonio Spurs had to pay for resting players - or sending them home - prior to a road game against the Miami Heat early last season were not enough warning for some. Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd says he’ll likely be adopting something similar when it comes to resting his 37-year-old big man via Yardbarker. "When you look at KG,...

After being trade from the Celtics to the Brooklyn Nets, Paul Pierce once again made his hatred towards the Knicks known. He even called New York City a Brooklyn Nets town. Because we’ve got ...

Raymond Felton: “Jason Kidd won’t have to do much Phil Jackson”

Somehow this summer Raymond Felton has become the unofficial spokesman of the New York Knicks while Carmelo hints about his contract and JR Smith buys tanks. Here is the full quote when Raymond was asked his thoughts on Jason Kidd coaching this season: I think he’ll be a great coach, but at the end of the day, he’s not going to have to do too much coaching.  He can do like Phil...

Raymond Felton: “Jason Kidd Won’t Have to do Much Coaching… Like Phil Jackson”

Those 15 pounds Felton lost have him talking a lot this offseason, I know I can’t be the only one that notices. The Knicks point guard shared his feelings on former teammate Jason Kidd as a head coach and threw a shot at what many consider one of the best coaches ever. Via Blacksportsonline. I […]

New York Knicks: Ten Best Games of the 2012-13 Season

Despite our inability to contain our excitement for October so we can watch Andrea Bargnani brick threes, this dead time is as good a time as ever to look back at last season. If you recall, it was the best we’ve seen the New York Knicks play in quite some time. Carmelo Anthony had an MVP-type season, J.R. Smith won a major individual award, and we rooted for Jason Kidd for one...
