The New York Knicks will continue their preseason schedule in Toronto on Friday, and veteran forward Metta World Peace needed someone to refresh his memory on which team plays in Canada’s largest city. Speaking with the media on Wednesday night, World Peace spoke about how he forgot that the Raptors were Toronto’s NBA team. “Honestly I forget stuff so fast,” he said. “Like today I asked the big fella, ‘When we go to Toronto, who do we play?’ He laughed at me.” It was probably just a brain cramp, which is understandable since the Raptors haven’t been relevant since Vince Carter led the franchise to its only playoff series win during the 2000-01 season. Toronto has finished better than fourth in the Atlantic division just once in the last five years, and the team hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2007-08 season. Check out World Peace’s interaction with the media in the video below. Filed under: Headlines, NBA, New York Knicks, N...

New York Knicks Individual Player Breakdown – Amare Stoudemire

As sad as this is to say, Amare Stoudemire’s days as a superstar in the NBA are behind him. With a pair of knees that would be lucky to make it through half of a regular NBA season, STAT has got to be considered almost an afterthought by Knicks fans now. He has the heart of a warrior and will never stop trying to be an impact player, but it’s clear that the Phoenix Suns were...

Knicks Face Toronto in 2nd Pre-Season Game

Knicks @ Toronto: 7PM MSG Via  Ohm Youngmisuk  As Bargnani returns to the place he called home for seven seasons when the Knicks face the Raptors, the 7-footer is more concerned with trying to develop chemistry with his new Knicks teammates, including Carmelo Anthony, than how he might be received in a preseason reunion with the team that drafted him first overall in 2006. ...

Turn On The Knicks Throwback Thursday – October 10th Edition – Garden Returns

Starting last season, the inside collar of all New York Knicks jerseys read “Once A Knick, Always A Knick.” Judging by the way they move players around, this statement couldn’t be any further from the truth. Unfortunately, it sometimes means that legendary Knicks are forced to suit up as an opponent in Madison Square Garden. We’ve already showed you how Patrick Ewing and Charles...

Tim Hardaway Jr.’s Game-Winning Shot Against Celtics Thrills Dad in First NBA Game (Video)

Hardaway Jr. sinks game-winner in Knicks debut

Tim Hardaway Jr. didn’t need to win the game with 8.2 seconds left with a 17-foot left-baseline jumper to give the Knicks a 103-102 preseason win over the Celtics last night. Knicks Lose to Raptors But Continue Exploring Options

In their preseason opener against the Celtics on Wednesday, the Knicks held on in the final seconds for what proved to be an exciting victory. The same couldn't be said for New York on Friday night against the Raptors, as the third and fourth stringers entered the game for the Knicks with time expiring. Needless to say, they couldn't prove capable of holding off Toronto...

Carmelo Anthony’s Absence Cannot Be Overlooked and Other Impressions From Celtics’ Win Over Knicks

A win is a win. It all looks same in the standings — or not, since nobody compiles standings based on preseason games — but the Celtics finally earned an exhibition ‘W’ on Saturday, and nobody can take that away from them. Yet while the Celtics did look better against the Knicks in New Hampshire than they did in their first three preseason games, the main reason they looked...

Bargnani must get used to doing less

The pump fakes aren't always necessary. We've talked all summer about how Andrea Bargnani could benefit from a new role. Less offensive responsibility means less pressure and cleaner looks which typically means going-in-er shots. What became apparent after the first exhibition game is that the transition isn't as smooth as just that. It'll take some extinguishing...
