According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Dallas Mavericks have traded their No. 16 pick, which they acquired just moments before the trade, and second-year shooting guard, Jared Cunningham, to the Atlanta Hawks for the No. 18 and No. 44 pick in Thursday’s draft. Looking to shed salary cap in pursuit of free agent Dwight Howard, the Mavericks shed Cunningham’s salary of $1,208,400. They will likely trade their No. 18 pick also which would cost them $1,280,800.
