Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
The topic of gay men and the NFL has been in the headlines for the last few months. Opinions on both sides of the issue have been highlighted and there’s even been speculation that a player could possibly step out and announce himself as the first openly gay player in the NFL.
I’ve stated before that I don’t believe it will be as big an issue in the locker room as some believe simply because I believe some players know and are more concerned with the on field performance. Perhaps will see my theory put to the test soon. In the meantime, someone is working extremely hard to convince the world that one of those closeted players is NFL free agent Kerry Rhodes. The former Arizona Cardinal addressed speculation after photos of he and a man named “Hollywood” were sent in to MediaTakeOut implying that the two were a couple. Rhodes has said that Hollywood is his former assistant and that he’s not gay.
“I am not gay,” Rhodes flatly told TMZ on Friday. “The shots were taken during a past vacation in a casual environment with my entire business team.”
“I know a lot of people are recently talking about atheletes struggling to come out to their fans right now, and I support them, as well as with those individuals comfort,” said Rhodes.
Love who you want, be with who you want. But let it happen at their own pace.

It shouldn’t matter if Kerry Rhodes is gay or not, but when Rhodes came out publicly and said he wasn’t gay, he opened a Pandora’s box. In the new age of Skip media, people are going to be in your business.
There is nothing you can do to stop it, if you sneeze the wrong way, someone is going to write a story about it. There is a right way and wrong way to handle these situations...
The consensus first-round prediction for the Arizona Cardinals is Lane Johnson. If you don’t believe me, here are the picks for the Cardinals from a lot of major NFL analysts.

When free agent linebacker Jasper Brinkley signed with the Arizona Cardinals last month, he did so with an eye towards a starting job on Bruce Arians’ squad.
The Red Birds did not re-sign linebacker Paris Lenon so Brinkley is working hard in the off season to earn that starting role.
“He has a good understanding of football,” linebackers coach Mike Caldwell told azcardinals.com.... Read more
On Monday, we brought you five first-round picks that the PhoenixArizona Cardinals got right. So youve probably guessed what Tuesday brings.
As short as Mondays list of candidates was, Tuesdays list provided a different challenge: namely, how to narrow a sizeable group of worthy candidates. We didnt pore over lists for every other team in the NFL, but our guess is that this is not...
The NFL added a player-assessment test to the famed Wonderlic test this year in order to better gauge players "non-physical capabilities, aptitudes and strengths."
The league has added regional and super regional combines to the long-running NFL Scouting Combine so that general managers, coaches and scouts can further dissect a players physical and mental strengths and...
