Well it's official. Patrice Bergeron is basically a Bruin for life and I am pretty ******* excited about it. Today, the Bruins have announced that Bergeron has signed an 8 year extension worth $52 million. The AAV for this deal is $6.5M per year and will finish at the completion of the 2021-2022 season. Here's the official release from the Bruins:  Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, July 12, that the club has signed forward Patrice Bergeron to an eight-year contract extension through the 2021-22 season.  Bergeron’s salary is worth an annual cap figure of $6,500,000. Bergeron and Chiarelli will be available to media via conference call on Friday, July 12 at 12:30 p.m. ET (follow @NHLBruins on Twitter for updates).
