The Indiana Pacers made Paul George’s 5-year, $90 million contract extension official at a press conference Wednesday where the All-Star made it clear that he feels more at home in Indiana than he’s felt anywhere in his entire life, “I was supposed to have a poker face throughout this situation, but my heart was really here, and I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else.” President of basketball operations, Larry Bird, spoke highly of George and believes in him as the future of the franchise, “You always hear about players letting up after they achieve the money that they’ve always dreamed of, not this kid. This boys the real deal. His families done a great job at raising him. Like I said, he’s not only great on the court, but he’s greater off the court. He just told you he cares about the community…I don’t worry about Paul George.
