PLAYERS: Paul Pierce
TEAMS: Brooklyn Nets
Pierce has had an amazing run as a celtic. Its kind of sad to see him leave, I dont think anyone could imagine him in any color other than green. Paul Pierce was drafted to the Celtics in 1998 as the 10th overall pick. He has started on the team for the last 15 years and ten of those years he was an all star. He has helped lead the Celtics to the finals and finally won a championship in 2010. Pierce has dedicated his Instagram to Boston, showing gratitude and thanks for the last 15 years of his life as he embarks on a new journey with the Brooklyn Nets. His dedication to Boston is that of a true athlete and star. Pierce left his heart on the floor every night he played and for that Boston and NBA fans alike thank you and wish you well on your new journey as a Brooklyn Net.

Paul Pierce: ‘It Has Become Real. I’m No Longer a Boston Celtic, I’m a Brooklyn Net’

Paul Pierce, the former longtime Celtic, has moved on from the team in green and white to the team in black and white. The newest Brooklyn Net throughout Monday’s press conference did not look to pleasant on being traded, but as the display went on and it finally hit him that he will not be a Celtic, things started to make sense. “It hasn’t really sunk in,” Pierce said. “I...

All 27 Of Paul Pierce’s #ThankYouBoston Instagrams

A.B. As of last weekend, Paul Pierce is officially no longer a member of the Boston Celtics. Considered by many to be one of the top 5 Celtics players of all time, Pierce spent the last 15 years as a member of the Green. During that span Pierce won an NBA Championship in 2008 and scored over 20,000 career points. So while Pierce’s career will continue, “The Truth” will take...

Paul Pierce sends his thanks to Boston via Twitter and Instagram

Welp, the time has come for me to finally write THAT post. I was hoping to put off this post for another five years or so, but in the ever-changing world of sports, things can happen rather quickly. Such is the case with former Boston Celtic legend Paul Pierce, now a Brooklyn Net. Even after the blockbuster trade was announced on Friday, for some (including myself) it did not feel...

The Truth thanks Boston

Being fortunate enough to have Tuesdays off,  I was on Twitter today (as usual) as Paul Pierce took us all down memory lane. He hadn’t tweeted anything in regards to “the trade” yet, and then he came out with this tweet late this afternoon: I’m going to share some of my favorite Boston memories on my new Instagram account. Follow me @paulpierce and #THANKYOUBOSTON — Paul...

Paul Pierce struggles through Nets introduction

Today was the day that it all became real. Those pictures of Garnett and Pierce jerseys weren’t Photoshopped.  It wasn’t an elaborate promo for TBS’s “Deal With It.” Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are Brooklyn Nets.  (Oh, and Jason Terry too). Kevin Garnett has been here before.  His departure from Minnesota seems to have been ages ago.  This whole “change of address”...

KG, Pierce and Terry introduced as Nets; Pierce: 'It's starting to sink in. I'm no longer a Boston Celtic'

Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry were just introduced as Nets. As you can imagine, it was especially weird for Pierce, who time and time again referenced his comfort level with Boston, and appeared legitimately saddened that his time with the Celtics was through. Here are some of the highlights of the presser, transcribed through the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn and...
