PLAYERS: Pete Carroll
TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks
Despite the fact that the Seahawks blew out the 49ers for the second straight year at Century Link Field,  head coach Pete Carroll wasn’t too happy with hos his offense played. “I’m kind of concerned overall on offense that we just aren’t as sharp as we need to be,” Carroll said via “We addressed it [Monday] as far as details and doing things right. We’re just not as clean as we want to be. “There’s a lot of potential to be shown. Our efficiency isn’t where we want it. We had too many negative plays [Sunday]. I’m a little disappointed in that, because we thought we came out of camp a little better.” Carroll believes offensive penalties have really hurt them. “I think that has a lot to do with it,’’ Carroll said. “We’ve hurt ourselves. We had nine penalties on offense [Sunday in the 29-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers]. It’s really hard to find rhythm that way. We had a 24-yard play [on which there was a penalty) and end up not going anywhere. He had first-and-27 one time in the game. It’s crazy.’’ Carroll says they’ll continue to work on being more consistent. “We addressed this consistently, but we’ve not seen the results that we want,” Carroll said. “So we have some new ideas to see if we can get some cleaner execution and get out of our own way.” Need NFL Tickets? Richard Sherman is Kanye West

Rewind to Sunday’s postgame backdrop after the Seattle Seahawks spent the second half of their game against the San Francisco 49ers stomping them out. Cornerback/defensive mouthpiece, Richard Sherman is poking fun at his college coach whom he just shamed for a second time. After baiting Jim Haurbaugh, he quickly spits fire during an inflammatory quickie interview that calls out...

Robert Turbin: Backing Up the Beast

Robert Turbin (@SNFonNBC) With Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch running wild and powering over defenses and Russell Wilson’s ability to sprint outside of the pocket for massive yards, it is easy to overlook the Seahawks’ backup running back, Robert Turbin. You might yell “who” at the top of your lungs after reading that name, but Turbin, the fourth round draft pick from...

49ers fans write letter to paper to complain about Seattle crowd noise

The home-field advantage is one of the better-known aspects in all of sports. Numbers continuously show that playing in your home stadium produces positive results. Many factors can be attributed to this notion, whether it is the comfort of sleeping in your own bed the night before a big game, or merely the familiarity with the nooks and crannies of your home-field. Another undeniable...

Slow Walking Is The Last Legal Taunt

In SNF's evisceration / division home game held serve with authority where Seattle curb-stomped San Francisco, there was an utterly lovely moment for those of us who had Seattle plus the points. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson threw a nice ball out into the flat against a goal line blitz, finding RB Marshawn Lynch at the Niner 2-yard line. With no defensive player within 50 feet of...

Seattle shines even with key starters out

Given a primetime stage, the Seattle Seahawks again excelled, getting the upper hand in the NFC West. What's scary for the rest of their division is just how many key parts the Seahawks expected to be significant contributors that were watching from the sideline on Sunday night when Seattle routed San Francisco 29-3. The highly awaited showdown between division foes was completely...

Are the Seahawks Who We Thought They Were?

The NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" type of league. The Seattle Seahawks did a lot for us on Sunday night, leaving many who to overreact by calling them the Super Bowl favorites, asserting Richard Sherman as the NFL’s best cornerback, and claiming Jim Harbaugh is an idiot. But is this defense unbeatable? Better yet, is it the same on the road? Let’s...

Seattle vs San Francisco game provides fan photo of the year

One Seattle Seahawks fan seems to have identified an undercover cop in San Francisco 49ers gear - and given us the photo of the year in the process.

Seahawks LT Russell Okung ruled out for Week 3 against Jaguars

If the Seattle Seahawks are going to cover the gigantic 19.5 point spread against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday they're going to have to do it without starting left tackle Russell Okung. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll announced on Wednesday that Okung won't be playing against the Jaguars. Okung injured his toe and was taken to the locker room in the first quarter of the...

Seahawks heading towards an early-season trap game?

Usually week three of the NFL season isn’t a time we talk about “trap games,” but the Jacksonville Jaguars are just that bad, and the Seattle Seahawks are just that good. Still, we can’t ignore a few key factors that may favor the Jaguars against head coach Gus Bradley’s former team. To start, no, the Jaguars probably won’t be able to beat the Seahawks in the loudest...

Seahawks LT Okung likely out vs. Jags

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says left tackle Russell Okung is unlikely to play on Sunday against Jacksonville after suffering a toe injury against San Francisco.
