Brett Carroll hit his 13th homer of the year, and Jared Goedert hit his ninth. Duke Welker made his return to Triple-A and picked up a save by striking out the side in the bottom of the ninth. Instead they only played a seven inning game. David Bromberg struggled tonight, giving up three earned runs in five innings. However, he kept up his strong strikeout numbers of late, striking out 32 in 23.2 innings over his last four starts. Gregory Polanco has a .282 average and an .800 OPS in 39 at-bats so far in Altoona.   Willy Garcia hit his 7th homer in the month of June. He’s been on fire this month, hitting for a .325/.372/.675 line in 80 at-bats, with seven homers after the first game. Alen Hanson went 2-for-6 with a double and a triple on the day. He had an .876 in the month of June, heading into game two. That’s up from an .840 OPS in the month of May. The second game ended up going 13 innings, and the Marauders stayed in the game thanks to seven shutout innings combined from Emmanuel De Leon and Zack Von Rosenberg. Today he had a double and a triple, and now has four extra base hits out of his five hits on the year. Candon Myles has been hot at the plate, going 13-for-26, but has just one extra base hit.
