Despite the fact that Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb suffered a biceps injury last week,  he was out on the field practicing with his teammates on Tuesday. According to Rob Demovsky of, it was obvious that Cobb was in pain while practicing, often grabbing his injured right arm. “Trying to be smart and be tough at the same time is difficult for me,” Cobb said after practice. “But I understand that I have limitations, and I have to be smart about it. But it’s hard and difficult at times.” Cobb was asked if he was being smart by practicing through pain. “No,” he responded. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy says they wouldn’t have Cobb practice if he was at risk for further injury. “It’s something that we understand what the injury is, and we wouldn’t put him out there if we thought he was in jeopardy of moving forward and getting healthy,” McCarthy said. “But every case is different.”     Need NFL Tickets? Can Graham Harrell play his way off the Green Bay Packers’ roster?

If Ted Thompson’s signing of Vince Young and Graham Harrell’s play in Green Bay’s shutout by the Arizona Cardinals is any indicator, the answer to that question is a clear “yes”, and he will have three more chances to do it before the regular season begins. Before everyone gets too critical, let’s remind ourselves what backup quarterbacks are up against.  They are expected...

Undrafted WR Tyrone Walker continues to impress for Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It didn't take long for Tyrone Walker to feel that he was making a good impression on the Green Bay Packers' coaching staff. Brought in on a tryout basis to the Packers' rookie orientation camp in May, Walker immediately performed better than a typical undrafted wide receiver who was just hoping to earn a non-guaranteed contract. "Probably the...

Packers consider DuJuan Harris the starting RB over Eddie Lacy

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Drafting two running backs hasn't changed the way that the Green Bay Packers view DuJuan Harris. The power of Eddie Lacy and the speed of Johnathan Franklin shown in training camp hasn't elevated either of the two highly touted rookies up to starter status. Even as Harris stood on the sideline with a knee injury and watched the first 12 practices and one...

Fantasy football: Is Aaron Rodgers still a top fantasy quarterback?

(Via No, it’s not PED’s  or steroids like Aaron Rodgers’ best buddy Ryan Braun, but Rodgers could have a little more difficult of a season in 2013. This past week Green Bay Packers’ left tackle Bryan Bulaga tore his ACL during training camp. The injury is crucial to the Packers’ offense as Bulaga was in charge of protecting Rodgers’ blind side...

Packers Activate DuJuan Harris; hand him starting job

Though he suffered a minor knee injury and was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin the 2013 training camp, DuJuan Harris remains the Green Bay Packers favorite to start. This despite the two highly touted running backs selected in this year’s draft; Eddie Lacy from Alabama and Johnathan Franklin from UCLA. For those of you unfamiliar with DuJuan’s career...

Eddie Lacy to get bulk of carries

Despite the rumors about him being overweight and the injury concerns it looks like Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy will start and get the bulk of the carries this season. Lacy has the most talent out of every back on the roster and outperformed them in camp as well. His size should also allow him to be a huge weapon at the goal line. Overview: Franklin hasn’t shown...

Fantasy Football 2013: Why You Shouldn’t Draft a Quarterback in the First Round

Aaron Rodgers is great. But you still shouldn’t draft him in the first round of your fantasy football draft. The Shakespearien soliloquy has nothing on this fantasy question that seems to be more popular than ever in 2013.  In fact, I actually am finding myself growing more irritable as each new day seemingly brings the same question:  ”Should I consider drafting a quarterback...

The Packers Shut Out: 0-17

Yes, I said 0-17.The last time that the Packers were shut out in exhibition play was in August 1987 with a 33-0 loss to the Washington Redskins. I, for one, wasn’t able to witness it (I’m a 90′s Baby). However, I imagine my level of anguish would have been the same. With the injury bug running rampant in Green Bay (17 players in total were ruled out for the Preseason Opener...
