Baltimore Ravens wide receiver/kick returner Jacoby Jones was shaken up on a collision with a teammate during the second quarter of Thursday night’s NFL season opener. Jones, back to receive a punt from the Broncos, called a fair catch before being plowed into by an undrafted rookie teammate. Both players were pretty oblivious to each other and took a while to figure out what the...
Adam Schefter started SportsCenter this morning by coming out to Ray Lewis’ spastic “squirrel” dance. Thanks for that disturbing image, ESPN. Given that Ray Rice has been trying to convince Ray Lewis to make the trip to Denver to fire up the Ravens, let’s just be thankful if this is the only time today we see Ray-Ray’s shtick on display.
With the season opener just days away, the Baltimore Ravens Facebook page posted the above inspirational quote from Joe Flacco. Did I say inspirational? I meant kind of boring and long-winded. But it’s presented as though it’s supposed to be inspiring. Are the Ravens good? Who knows, but they do feel like they’re good, but in a measured way that doesn’t get carried away with...

Ever since the NFL announced that the champion Ravens would open the season at Denver, the Broncos have been salivating over a chance to get back at Baltimore.
That opportunity comes Thursday night in the Mile High City, where the Ravens staged that sensational late comeback in the divisional playoff game last January before beating the Broncos in double overtime.

The Baltimore Ravens may be the Super Bowl champions, but they are certainly not Super Bowl favorites to win this season’s big game. After an offseason of losing high-profile players, the Ravens will be put to a major test when they play the Denver Broncos later tonight.
Yes, it’s early, but it’s never too early to start figuring out where teams stand. It’s assumed that...
It’s Wednesday and you would swear it is Christmas around here. It’s 95 degrees and we are all sweating bullets, so no, it’s not the holiday season. But it could be because football is back, alive and well across the nation tomorrow night. My prayers have been answered. After following teams in rookie camps, practices, OTA, training camps and preseason, the “real” NFL is...

For myself, I have to say that it was the quickest offseason I’ve ever experienced...
