 In the Super Bowl preview edition of “Football Nation Today,” Alex looks at the biggest news around the NFL:1st Down:*Sports Illustrated reported this week that Ray Lewis used PEDs (deer antler velvet extract) to recover from a severe triceps injury he suffered in October.  For some reason, people are surprised at this.  Apparently, some sports fans still live with their heads under a rock.  There wasn’t a more obvious steroid user than Lewis, and the fact that he took PEDs to recover from injury should be a non-story.*In the Super Bowl preview, Alex says the Ravens and 49ers play similar styles of defense, except the 49ers are younger and faster.  It will be a close game in the first half, but the 49ers will eventually break away.  The Ravens don’t have the speed to keep up with Colin Kaepernick and the spread offense.  The 49ers will be able to generate pressure on Joe Flacco, and move him outside of the pocket where he isn’t comfortable. 2nd Down: Ravens safety Bernard Pollard d...

  • IF Ray Lewis, or anyone else in the NFL is taking banned substances, then I think the league should take action. After all, it was the league that banned these drugs, wasn't it? OR, MAYBE, "THE LEAGUE" was to busy making up rumors to keep ANY TEAM from playing in a super bowl on their own home field??? Like maybe they did THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
