Found October 08, 2013 on Flyers Faithful:
With the government shutdown in full effect it’s unclear whether or not Army will be able to travel to Penn State Friday to play the Nittany Lions in the Pegula Ice Arena opener. Mike McMahon of College Hockey News reported Monday on Twitter that Penn State was searching for a replacement team and may have actually found one. Kyle Rossi of Thank You Terry examined a couple possible solutions Penn State can go with should Army not be able to travel to University Park. My hunch is that Penn State will open Pegula on Friday as scheduled.  It won’t be …Continue reading »

Penn State Oversells Students Tickets, Asks For Them Back

Penn State is excited for their game against their game against Michigan on Saturday. A little too excited. Penn State Athletics oversold the student section tickets for the annual White Out game on October 12 and the university has asked that some students kindly hand-in their highly coveted tickets with a trade-in program. Onward State details the trade-in options: According to...

A former Penn State president fighting charges he helped cover up child sex abuse complaints about ex-assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky wants a judge to force prosecutors to release documents to him. This guy took Penn State's loss to Indiana pretty hard

Penn State's loss to Indiana on Saturday was about as ugly as it could get. Leading 14-13 midway through the third quarter, Penn State pretty much had a sequence of events just start to snowball on them with no way to slow it down before the clock hitting triple zeros. The loss exhibited a number of flaws in the team, such as a freshman quarterback going through some growing...

A lawsuit by Joe Paterno's family and others against the NCAA was heading to court, one day after Penn State announced settlements with 26 young men over claims of abuse by Jerry Sandusky. Bill O’Brien is REALLY FOCUSED on Michigan

When Penn State Head Coach Bill O’Brien joined the Big Ten conference call yesterday unintentional hilarity ensued. He took “coachspeak” to a whole new level on Tuesday as he worked the same phrases “really focused on Michigan” or “focus on Michigan” into every response he could. He had five variations of it, within the first three minutes. Reading in between the lines...

Penn State vs Michigan: still some sizzle, but no steak

The Penn State Homecoming Game versus the Michigan Wolverines is a lot less meaningful than it sounds on paper. You hear Penn State and Michigan and you think “Wow! Two marquee programs! HUGE game this week!” When in reality, not so much. This game is actually a lot more meh than meaningful. The Nittany Lions are 3-2 overall after losing to Indiana for the very first time in...
