Rex Ryan is a clown. So are Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. At least that's what the New York Post put on Tuesday's NFL preview issue's cover. The trio, dressed as circus clowns, are cruising around in a clown car while Eli Manning, two Super Bowl trophies and one Justin Tuck are looking down on them from a nice convertible, which can be seen below.

Jets’ Rex Ryan can’t imagine being fired

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan isn’t known for being humble. He has so much confidence in himself that he can’t imagine being fired. “I know I'm a great coach," Ryan said on The Michael Kay Show. "What makes me a great coach are the guys that coach with me and the players that play for me, and everything else this organization has for me. It's hard for...

Rex Ryan is getting sick of people calling the Jets a circus

The New York Jets have not appeared in a Super Bowl since 1969, but the coverage they receive from the media could make some think they are one of the most successful franchises in all of sports. In reality, the coverage stems from the fact that Rex Ryan allows his team to be unfiltered and say whatever they want at all times. Mix that with their willingness to appear on HBO shows...

What, Me Fired?10) Has been talking to Tim Tebow's Jebus9) Going from back to back AFC championship games to missing the playoffs is always good for job security8) Understands that the franchise cares more about the tabloid back pages than wins7) Feels that since he's lost weight, they have to keep him6) As his offensive play-calling shows, really doesn't have much of...

NY Post doesn't think highly of the Jets

The New York Post's NFL preview edition came out on Tuesday, and their cover accurately summed up the offseasons of both of New York's teams. On the left is Eli Manning of the Giants dressed in a suit and driving a nice convertible, along with his pair of Lombardi trophies. On the right is Rex Ryan of the Jets driving an old, broken down looking car wearing green and...

NFL Prop Bets for 2012 Season Put Rex Ryan on Hot Seat, Expect Big Things From Andrew Luck

The 2012 NFL season is upon us, which means that football is finally back to give us reason to live once again. That also means the return of betting season for some. As always, there plenty of interesting prop bets for fans and bettors alike to look at, in an attempt to gauge what could be on the way for their favorite teams and players this season. Unsurprisingly, Indianapolis...

The fine folks over at the New York Post decided to have a little bit of fun with their NFL preview front page as they decided to depict the New York Giants as champions and the Jets as circus performers. Rex Ryan Yapping About Steve Johnson’s Success Against Revis

Cuts have been made, the roster is (almost) set, and Bills Jets week here. How do I know? The Jets are doing what they do best, which is running their mouths and trying to belittle the fact that Steve Johnson thinks Revis Island is a joke. Specifically, New York Daily News reporter Manish Mehta went around asking everyone what they think of the concept that Steve Johnson “owns”...

New York Jets: Can the Jets Fly in 2012?

The 2012 Jets season will represent the end of the deliberation on multiple topics within the court of fan opinion. Head Coach Rex Ryan promised a Super Bowl win to the fans and everyone else who’d listen. His QB Mark Sanchez, was at the helm for both of those campaigns. Dubbed the “Sanchize” when he was drafted out of USC after only 1 year as a starter, there’s been...

Austin Howard Dealt Tough First Assignment

Florham Park, N.J.: As everyone knows, schools across the country are gearing up for another year.  We've all been there—adjusting to some of the easiest days the school year has to offer.  Whether it's receiving a syllabus and pretending to listen how the semester is planned out or filling out emergency contact information, the first few days are a breeze."I almost...

5 audacious predictions to kick off the NFL season

The NFL season is finally upon us. In less than 8 hours from this point, the Cowboys and the Giants will get the 2012 season kicked off in style. Still, the offseason is a time for making unjustified claims and having some fun. In our final hours of football-less droning, I'd like to take one more shot at making some claims that aren't likely to ever see fruition...

Because time-lapse videos are timeless… Even more so, when Jets fans are forced to look at a 225 foot painted mural of handsome Tom Brady wearing the UGG for Men “Hannen” boot on the corner of West 34th Street and 8th Avenue. Rex Ryan might even drive by one day in his clown car.

Don’t write off Stephen Hill yet, he could be the Jets main target

While people in the media are attacking the young wide receiver from Georgia Tech, I still believe that it was a good pick. His own head coach Rex Ryan disagrees with me, and is not even sure if it was the best pick for the organization. “Well, nothing told me he would (contribute),” Ryan told Don Banks of Sports Illustrated. “Nothing. When I saw the tape (of his collegiate...
